This song perfectly captures how I feel whenever I consider kms. Genuinely feel like I'm better off dead when that numbness strikes. Hearing Maynard say "I choose to live" in Gravity does things to me. I always listen to that after.
I feel you, dawg. The song I think of to get me out of my suicidal tendencies is Down in a Hole by AIC. I heard that song after the first time I tried and it has comforted me every since, well that and the realization that if I truly don't care enough about my life that I want to kill myself then why would I care to try in the first place.
When I saw these guys back around 2004 they opened with this song. Such an amazing show. When this song started they were all behind sheets with lights in front and behind changing how it looked like they were standing. Then one by one the sheets dropped.
I grew up listening to Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step. As a musician, I believe all their albums are great. But the first two albums are special. To me, they sound like they're telling a larger story as a whole, while Eat the Elephant sounds like a lot of smaller stories that have a sometimes vague and sometimes obvious connection to each other. Of course, everyone's going to have a different opinion.
Only 3m into this one & LOL, Smokey, Loved the mix-up between the Package & The Mission, funny how the brain's connections decide they are gonna go... going now got rest of video to see/hear... Love & Blessings to All Yall!! P.S. the Vanishing from everyone when your lost in the addiction....@ 5m Man, Really Feel That! Anyone fighting that, Keep It Up, It Gets Better!!
The preceding track is Blue and subsequent track being A Stranger. One of the biggest reasons why Thirteenth Step is my fave APC album is the sequencing. From Blue to Vanishing to A Stranger or from The Nurse Who Loved Me to Pet to Lullaby to Gravity, the changeover from song to song is better than or as good as every other one before it. The transitions are seamless.
Heavy emotional motivator song for people to look within themselves it helped me out when I went through a Heavy drought of depression when I was younger
Man, you guys need to listen to the whole album back to back. This song’s beginning flows perfectly with the ending of Blue. Still a GREAT song though. Also Weak and Powerless and The Noose go together. Pet and Lullaby as well.
This song is totally a 'headspace' track. Best appreciated with eyes closed OR while driving at night (but not both simultaneously!! LOL). I was drawn to this track on first listen! Honestly, I love all their albums for different reasons. My #1 will change from day to day, so I just say it's ranked 1A/B/C - in no particular order! Great group!
Loving the content. I noticed there doesn't seem to be many female kick-ass Rock/Metal lead singers aside from Amy Lee on the channel. Would love if guys covered Lzzy Hale !! Group:HALESTORM Songs: I MISS THE MISERY (most popular) LOVE BITES---SO DO I (edgier/harder) I AM THE FIRE (ear-gasm vocals)
I remember seeing APC at the Christchurch Town Hall in 2003. MJK was a silhouette behind a screen. What if James Cook searches for new lands and vanishes?? So I think MJK has a relationship with Jesus, where he knows he needs a home built by Jesus but he needs to vanish for a while to discover more.
So I just joined ur site and I'm trying 2 get caught up. So far I'm pretty impressed with ur imput. U both are great but Smokey is so good looking I sometimes miss out on the music lol I am trying 2 be on patriot but haven't figured it out yet but I will.
Thank you so much guys for this reaction but seriously you should do a reaction to the full thirteenth step album so you can feel the whole connection of the songs... that would be amazing.
Dead Ohio Skies....thank you my brothers!!!!!! Go Buckeyes!!! Could you guys please do some more ANTHRAX!!!! Armed and Dangerous, Gung Ho, Breathing Lightning. Some more love for the Ohioans!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘peace brothers ✌✌✌
This album got me through my recovery ❤️🩹 13th step is a derogatory term referring to an old timer in recovery preying upon the new person for a relationship. Its against the rules in the rooms of recovery.
if you like Tool and A Perfect Circle you should check Dream Theater. i would love to see your jaw dropping. the studio version of "dark eternal night" it's a good start before you see them live
This song perfectly captures how I feel whenever I consider kms. Genuinely feel like I'm better off dead when that numbness strikes. Hearing Maynard say "I choose to live" in Gravity does things to me. I always listen to that after.
Glad you’re still around bud
❤️

We’re all happy you’re here. Keep fighting.
❤️❤️❤️
It’s a pretty emotional song. As you move into another stage in life, your former self fades away.
The whole album is an emotional journey. Love 13th step
When I saw these guys back around 2004 they opened with this song. Such an amazing show. When this song started they were all behind sheets with lights in front and behind changing how it looked like they were standing. Then one by one the sheets dropped.
Ah dude yes! It really set the tone for rest of the set. One of the most memorable opening for me
The harmony of his voice. Chills.

Agreed. First two albums were genius. From what I've heard of the new ones, it kinda seems like they did it out of obligation
Totally agree man
just some fyi.. tomorrow i will be 65. east ky, hillbilly. i love ur channel. watch music i never tried because u 2 make it fun. PEACE !
This song takes you on a journey every damn time! Eargasms everywhere!!
"I love music, dude" - something you're only going to hear after listening to the greats, Tool, Perfect Circle, Pink Floyd etc.
This music is so addicting despite very few words buts speaks a lot.
I believe this one is about Layne Staley, who was a friend of Maynard's and had died the year before. Knowing that makes it doubly sad. Gorgeous song.
Only 3m into this one & LOL, Smokey, Loved the mix-up between the Package & The Mission, funny how the brain's connections decide they are gonna go... going now got rest of video to see/hear... Love & Blessings to All Yall!!

i get a feeling of nostalgia listening to these types of tunes. feels pleasant and safe

Cheers from Ohio!! Loving the channel! Peace, guys!
I had to subscribe once I realized all the love for MJK...musical genius, owner of wineries and SUPERHERO imo 💜
Heavy emotional motivator song for people to look within themselves it helped me out when I went through a Heavy drought of depression when I was younger
Oh, yes. Also, this is one of the my favorite songs. Bless yall.
I like to picture music in a tuxedo T-shirt because it’s here for business but it also likes to party.
This was the first song they played in Jacksonville, FL in 2004. I took my kids to that show. Good times!
This song is freaking beautiful 🔥 love this one guys. Glad you enjoyed it
The "Flow State" is Zen.
Man, you guys need to listen to the whole album back to back. This song’s beginning flows perfectly with the ending of Blue. Still a GREAT song though. Also Weak and Powerless and The Noose go together. Pet and Lullaby as well.
A Stranger is absolutely beautiful and very personal for me
One of my favorite songs….very ethereal, listening to this song is like melting into a soundscape environment
I like this song more now than after first hearing it. It's very dreamy, has a good vibe
So dreamy. Love this song
Vanishing into the addiction
Vanishing is in the middle of the album and Gravity is the last song. My two favorite APC songs. Although, Eat the Elephant is my favorite APC album.
Back at ya from oHIo!
My fave is a toss up between 13th step and mer de noms. Magdalena I'm pretty partial to
This song is totally a 'headspace' track. Best appreciated with eyes closed OR while driving at night (but not both simultaneously!! LOL). I was drawn to this track on first listen! Currently very stoned and driving around to a perfect circle

I love Jimmy
A Stranger is my favorite song on Thirteenth Step. Hope you guys get to that one soon.
Once again I heard of this band but haven't heard this song so here we go
This wasn't my favorite song on the album but was my favorite song to hear at the concert.
You guys really felt that one.. Brilliant guys... As always.. When you said about the vibe, smashed it man
This is in my chill playlist
So I just joined ur site and I'm trying 2 get caught up. So far I'm pretty impressed with ur imput. U both are great but Smokey is so good looking I sometimes miss out on the music lol I am trying 2 be on patriot but haven't figured it out yet but I will.
Thank you so much guys for this reaction but seriously you should do a reaction to the full thirteenth step album so you can feel the whole connection of the songs... that would be amazing.
This song is about the death of Yoda.
There's a chicken duck woman waiting for us

Mer de noms
If you guys haven't yet you should react to the acoustic version of the outsider
This album got me through my recovery ❤️🩹 13th step is a derogatory term referring to an old timer in recovery preying upon the new person for a relationship. Its against the rules in the rooms of recovery.

Shout out back to y'all from Ohio, lol

the studio version of "dark eternal night" it's a good start before you see them live
No.
13th step just has more of my favorites than the other albums, but there's no such thing as a not amazing APC album
PLEASE DO A REACTION VIDEO TO GINGA FLAME - GINGER SNAP!
I don’t know if that’s a fan or what but something in the background of your recording sounds like a helicopter in my ears
Pretty soon y'all can't call this rappers react,.
Y'all straight rockers / metal heads now

I prefer noms... But 13th step is a 1B🗑️🗣️4️⃣🧬
