- If Jesus really did rise from the dead, that changes everything. Having gone through a secular school, having gone through schooling from various different perspectives, I've seen what happens to people when they don't believe in the supernatural, when they don't believe that there's more to this life.
What I was taught going into medical school is that we have just evolved out of a cosmic accident. There was a big bang, and that the world was one of many planets and galaxies that just happened to form the way it did because of natural principles. And once life was created, it evolved out of-- from one form of life, all of-- everything we see on this earth has evolved.
If that's true, what does that say about us? It says that we are purposeless, unintentioned pieces of carbon that have no value except what we can experience while we're here. That's it. I'm an accident, you're an accident. I'm no more valuable in an ultimate sense than the chair I'm sitting on and the ground I walk on.
Now if the resurrection happened, if a man rose from the dead, all of a sudden all of this naturalistic bias goes out the window, there's something more to this world than simply believing that we are one accident after another after another after another that produced life. There's more to this world. All of a sudden it's quite plausible that God exists.
And what is that God? Who is he? If he's Jesus, then he is a God of love. He is a God who's willing to pour himself out for his creation. That means there's no reason to despair-- God can raise you from the dead! That means there's no reason to be without hope because God has worked together for the good of those who love him all things!
That changes absolutely everything, and all of a sudden, I don't have to worry about living as much as I can before I die. It means I have to live as much as I can for the sake of others. Pour myself out for them, because if this world is going to end and people are going to rise from the dead, then nothing is going to last throughout eternity except people.
And so there's no reason for me to live for my bank account. There's no reason for me to live for the car I'm driving, for the house, for the nest egg, for the inheritance. That's not a good reason to live because that's all going to wither away. The only reason for me to live is for people.
And so I'm going to pour myself out for the sake of others, which, by the way, studies have shown is the only way people ever feel fulfilled, when they live for other people. It all comes together under that Christian theology, it all begins to make sense if the resurrection actually happened. It changes everything!

@@sheikhhameed2593 You oughta look into the historical accuracy of the new testament documents vs the Quran. Nabeel did his research and concluded that the Quran is extremely unreliable. You would be laughed out of an intellectual institution for saying that Christ didn't die on the cross. There are a considerable amount of Atheist Historians that say Jesus 100% died on the cross after looking at the evidence.
In three minutes, he says it all, pretty much. We are more than cosmic accidents; someone died and rose from the dead and has the power to resurrect others; all our pursuits become meaningless unless our purpose in this life is to serve others (and God, of course).

Is it only a coincidence that the only complete copy of the New Testament that exists today stems from the Codex Sinaiticus in the 4th century AD, after the council of Nicea and after the scribes had their way with the texts?
It is very hard to find out exactly what was taken out of the Bible before this time. It is hard to read the ashes. But the main topics missing have to do with 1) Jesus’ childhood and his siblings, 2) reincarnation, and 3) about the spirits of truth that taught in first few centuries.
The most complete work on the Bible ever complied was from Origen of Alexandria (185 - 254 AD) who taught for over 50 years and created 6,000 works explaining the bible. No other scholar has covered the subjects that Origen did.
The majority of the works were destroyed or transcribed into Latin to incorporate the roman doctrines that conflicted his works. Fortunately though, many of Origen’s works survived because he is still considered the greatest biblical scholar, even though he was declared a heretic. So by looking at the works not destroyed, we can get a better idea about which teachings were destroyed.

I want to believe that Nabeel Qureshi is the resurrection of Esau, Ishmael and all of Keturah's sons in Christ. God would want all of Abraham's descendants to bring faith in Christ and his sacrifice, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part.
I come from a Christian perspective. But have learned to ask hard questions. I find that Jesus rising from the dead does not change everything. Before Christianity, before Jesus, there was meaning and purpose in the universe because God is the source of everything. There is beauty, complexity and design all around. This all was true before Jesus was born or Christianity became a religion. I don't think anyone can scientifically show that everything came about randomly. There is order in every part of the universe. People will disagree about what God is like. That is natural. That is a discussion we should have.
That's because jesus is not a god, he never say he is a god , he's a prophet, a messenger.
Thats because, Jesus didn't just show up, at Bethlehem being born, he has been before time, the ressurection changes everything, the Bible clearly shows us, who Jesus had been, God manifest in flesh wasn't about Christ being born, try and understand the Bible in its entirety and the end to its purpose.
If you look at the biblical narrative of the events following the resurrection, you'll find some very odd inconsistencies... Paul is off in Asia minor preaching and his whole message is centered around 'this Jesus raised from the dead'. Now the interesting thing is that in the narrative you never find anyone questioning... where is he? Let's go to Jerusalem and see him for ourselves? Of course if they had, they would have found... well, he's not here right now... he... ascended into heaven... Ok...??? For us modern day thinkers that would be a more than 'lame' answer. Then you go a bit further back to the disciples in Jerusalem. They are also preaching that 'this Jesus whom you crucified, was raised from the dead'. Again from our modern day perspective, the obvious question is... ok where is he?.... uhhh... he ascended into heaven... ??? Again for us modern thinkers this is just a lame excuse. It seems likely that the people back in that day didn't view Jesus' resurrection as a physical bodily resurrection as some christians do today. They probably viewed the resurrection as some type of spiritual resurrection. No one expected him to be around in bodily form. So no one asked the question. Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15 describes the resurrection as a spiritual resurrection, immortal, spiritual body.

This is all what Islam tells... Materialistic things are nothing, this World is temporary...only good deeds will be there in our graves. Islam and Christianity is quite similar but sad he left the path of True God and became Christian.
Islam and Christianity aren't the same and it is not about leaving good deeds in the graves as a Christian. In Christianity you aren't saved by doing good works and you can't earn salvation. Humans are bad even tho they try to be good, that's why Jesus comes on the earth (lives sinless) and dies on the cross for our sin. He gives us salvation as a gift if we turn away from sin and believe in him.
Islam and every others religion teaches that you have to earn salvation by good works.
Even if Jesus did resurrect it doesn’t prove any of the claims Jesus needed to fulfill. Many people had resurrected prior to this time and what does that prove about them? Nothing.

How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, no matter how small, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God's name in vain/blasphemed, even ‘OMG’? That’s taking the name of the God who gave you life and using it in the place of a cuss word - would you do that with your mother’s name? Have you ever dishonoured your parents? Jesus said whoever looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery in his heart. Have you ever looked with lust? Most people probably have broken all 5 of these commandments. I myself have. I’m not judging you but if you have done these things then you’re a lying, thieving, blasphemous, rebellious adulterer-at-heart by your own admission. That's only 5 of the 10 commandments. God is fully just so he must and will punish every and all sin (which is departure from/rebellion towards God and the conscience) when he judges us. He cannot simply cancel our debt and let us go, or else he would be unjust. If you went into the courtroom and said: ‘Yes Judge, I’ve done these things but I also give money to the Red Cross and volunteer at an old-age home. I try my best to love people’ the judge is not going to take that into consideration. You’ve broken the law; the good you’ve done won’t help at all on the day of judgement.
If he judges you by the moral law will you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is Hell. Doesn’t that concern you? But, fortunately, that is not God’s will. He is so loving and merciful, he made a way for you to be forgiven. The Son of God came down as a man, Jesus Christ, and lived a perfect, sinless life, so was the perfect sacrifice. He excruciatingly suffered and died on the cross to pay the FULL debt we owe because of sin; justice is fully done. You and I broke God's law and Jesus paid the fine in his life's blood, being resurrected again 3 days later. That’s why he said “It is finished” on the cross - in other words the debt has been paid. God has the payment ready to go for you. What you need to do is repent (recognising you are a sinner deserving God's punishment, turn to Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins. Our works can do nothing as by the standard of God’s moral law we fail, but faith in him is enough to save us from all sin - past, present and future! Then though you have grievously offended God, he will forgive you and you will inherit eternal life being reborn in the Holy Spirit when you put your trust in the Lord and saviour. Too, you enter a covenant relationship with God - sonship, and truly I tell you your life will change in his presence. So repent and trust (i.e. Biblical faith), receive the free gift of grace.
At the moment, you’re like a man who’s about to jump off a 10 000-foot cliff and they are trying to save themselves by flapping their arms; that won’t help you. Trust and depend on the parachute. Jesus is the only one who is righteous enough to enter heaven; but the elect are covered by his righteousness; He and he alone is our qualification to get to heaven.
He redeemed me. God, The King of The Universe, came down as a man. He lived the first 30 years of his life as a poor carpenter then spent the next 3 preaching, healing and saving souls - all the while being persecuted, insulted and hated by his own people - and took the punishment to save our lives. It’s the most amazing love that anyone ever displayed. Christianity’s not just a religion. It's a pure, sweet relationship with God. Because of Jesus, I am now a son of God. He is my dad, and you can be his child too. God loves you. Will you let him come?. . .
He (Jesus pbuh) never died (Bible) and therefore no question of resurrection.

Respectfully, why do you think he didn't die? Have you checked the Gospel accounts, written by eye witnesses and disciples, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? Also historical accounts by contemporary scholars (not Christian believers). If Jesus didn't die, and resurrect from the dead, then the last 2000 years have been a charade for Christians. But if he did pay for our sins, by laying down his life, and overcome death, by resurrecting, then it changes EVERYTHING. Then there is forgiveness, hope and new life for all who repent and receive him. God bless you.

Why does god have to have a son (in the first place) for the son (to then) die, and then on top of all that to die for the sins of others! all is hocus pokus. It just makes you feel good! All these assumptions and just fabrications about theology. Then you blame a free thinking mind!

James Pitt read the bible and you will clearly see why. A quick run down. God made heavens and earth and people to share it with him. We were made in His image. That means we were originally made with a phy body a soul body and a spirit body. They sinned due to Satan a fallen angel this then cursed them which caused them to loose that spirit body. With out a spirit body you can not go to heaven as it’s a spirit place. The only way to get there is to get the Holy Spirit instead. The only way to do that is to believe upon Jesus being the perfect sacrifice for us. That’s why god sent his son to die. That’s the reason. So we can literally get to heaven. Simple.

Moneyxl00 the bible doesn’t contradict itself. I used to think that too. Then I leant how to correctly understand the scripture. It’s called dispensational amd once you overlay that the bible makes perfect sense and it’s amazing. All it’s prophecies have come true. No one has proven it wrong yet.

Islam is the truth. It means total submission of our wills to Almighty Allah. It was the way of all messengers including jesus. There is no one worthy of worship but Allah and Muhammad was the last messenger of Allah. Jesus was also one of the messengers. Whoever worship other than Allah will have no paradise but hell. Its very clearly stated in the bible. If Christians believe in the trinity, then they believe Mary is the mother of Elohiem. Or the Queen of heaven pagan doctrine. Jer. 44. Mary was a human being just like all mothers. There was no miracle birth nor was it prophecied in the bible. If so, then it contradicts all scripture and that would mean king Hezekiah was also born by a miracle. Isaiah 7:14.
