Perhaps they should have Dr. David Chatterton talk about his collection of rare woodwind instruments and what is perhaps the oldest playable contrabassoon in existence, made at the behest of Georg Handel by Thomas Stainsby Jr. in 1739.
I am sure that would be fascinating but our video series focusses on instruments from the University of Edinburgh's musical instrument collection. If David is looking for a good home for his collection, we would certainly be a great option 🙂
