Trivia of the day: Arnold got dubbed over in German Terminator despite offering to record the lines himself again because his accent and dialect were considered very "hickish" and basically like a hillybilly for a German audience.
That's hilarious. I'm imagining him using a strong southern accent as the Terminator now...'gimme y'all's clothes, y'all's boots, and y'all's bike.' And instead of 'I'll be back' it'd be 'I'll come back now, y'hear?' 'I know now why y'all crah.'

German dubs usually avoid having anyone speak with a noticeable German dialect even if they were speaking with a heavy drawl in the original because it breaks immersion somewhat fierce. The only exception are comedies.

I am German, and I can't confirm. I never heard anybody say "never" instead of "nether". Some say, "Net her". 😅
Austrian accent and standard German are quite different so maybe that's why her pronunciation is a bit more off.

How about "beneath," or "otherworld," or "underearth."
Depending on how familiar a person is with english, all these th'es will sound the same. The th sound does not exist in the German language anymore, so Germans need a bit adapting to properly spell it out.
Ask a german to spell this out: "The thief thaws out the tight tights for these thighs." Depending on how familiar the person is, each person saying it will sound different, probably.

its common for germans to have Problems with the "th". my th sounds way to hard. i think its easy to guess who us german with our accent. of course its not the case for Everyone.

The thic accent is funny, but saying Germans cannot pronounce the th is... debatable.
Yes, if you dont care and most people understand you, it really doesnt matter.
But one can absolutely master the th... especially so, because German is amongst the languages with the most isolated sounds (clearly separatble sounds in numbers).
I really went tryhard back when I started university to get the th up on par with native speakers. I would not say I am up there, but as a german native speaker the th wont be the top giveaway of my first language.

You need to ask why Austrians sound like an Austrian?
Probably because he is the most well known Austrian, that you can regularly hear speaking English. He also doesn't really hide his accent when he speaks English. Kiara usually has a barely noticeable accent, but Arnold is just full accent with a bit of English in-between. So, in short: Austrians sound like Arnold when they do the accent, because Arnold does the accent.

its so painful to admit but hard German accent actually has people speak "uwu" language. Very turns into wewii and dangerous turns into dandjewuss. I hate saying it but German accent is just uwu speak.
