@@Charlie6969 as far as buggies go it was worthless budget crap, weighs too much, crap tires, overpriced. The vxl is great for drag racing, I have 3 of them, but the basic buggy is trash... Good for a 12 year old playing in the back yard. Can't hang on the track. I have a kyosho buggy on a different league. Same with yokomo
@@kenmastersmaster Nah, the bandit only needs adjustable TBs, stiffer towers, race shocks with good tuning, good tires, a faster servo, a class-specific motor if applicable, and a driver mod(the most important part behind tires and oil tuning). If you start with a BL-2s or build from a roller you end up in it for sub $500 BnD. That's compared to $400+ for a kit with ZERO electronics from any other brand.
@@Drunken_Hamster well yeah it needs all those things and still not have a tuneable diff or sturdy plastics. The guy in the video said he spent around $700 on his with parts he had laying around. At the end of the day the way the bandit comes stock it's never been great as to be expected for $169
@@kenmastersmaster I meant it's always been great for what it is, a fun relatively cheap buggy. They are a blast to race if you don't take it too seriously, is it ever going to keep up with a brand new Yokomo or similar? of course not, that's not a fair comparison. You have to remember, it's a budget buggy from the 90's.
I really enjoyed this build. I've been tempted to get into racing myself. The closest track to me is actually Big Dog as i'm from central PA. It's about an hour drive.
seems like you need a purpose built rc truck, with maybe a snow plow too keep on the side to try to marshal with from up top. or a front end loader if they make a rc one that doesnt just crawl.
Keep this series going! Let's see this thing in victory lane!
I’ll get back to racing it in the fall. Busy with work in the summer months
This guy single handedly made the bandit great again
The Bandit was always great.

I finally got all the parts in to convert my rustler into a bandit.
You've done a great job with the Bandit. I am looking forward to see the changes you make in the Gorgon.

The Bandito earned its respite. Now for GorGonnio.
Fantastic video! Love the series!!
Glad you enjoy it!
The banditos definitely looking good

Traxxas needs a line of cars made for racing like Losi, AE.
Reverse Robin Hood aka Brett Favre. Robbing from the food bank. 🤣🤣
😂🤣🍻good one ..go pack go ..🧀🍻
cost off the table, if u were to run any shocks on the car, wld u keep the tlr 12mm set, go 13mm tlr, or 13mm ae?
For me Probably ae 12mm just because that’s what’s on my other buggies. I just used the tlr shocks because I had them lying around.
The Bandito tinkering project is a treat to watch. What body are you running on it?
Stock b6.3 body
To avoid the copyright issues with music just mute the clips and make the rc sounds with your mouth hahaha
I'm looking for something used to start with. I'm thinking about the 1/10 scale 4x4 buggys. Any recommendations on where to buy used?
Eh bay
Eh bay sucks. Rc recyclers are new prices. Go to your local track and ask around
@@gregorholmes1837 local track is cheapest but if you live where there's no track offer ** is another good one
Pears are the most amazing food. Problem is not ripe and hard for 3 weeks. Good for a hour then soggy. Edit; tuna boots looks like a pear.
😂
Your mom loves pears.
