I will forever be a fan and admirer of Barris Kustom and George himself, i met George for the first time at 11 years old in 1998 and I was speechless, he was and still is one of my heroes. The legacy and impact of both George and Sam not just for the TV and movie cars but there creativity, innovation and techniques are still standards of the hot rod and custom car world. The only thing that I always bugged me and I never understood was George's habit of attaching the Barris name to cars he nor the business had any part im actually building, he simply bought them from other builders and toured them under the Barris name.

Just ran across this on RUclips. The internet is not the place to find the real stories on some of these cars. My father, Dick Dean ran the Barris shop for many year. As his son, I heard the true stories first hand.
When George was building the Sonny and Cher cars. George asked Cher what color she would like her car. She promply lifted her shirt and proclaimed, "Pink like my panties".
