This was a good interview. Regarding the part about Twinkie. I don’t think people were upset about Beyoncé using the song. It was the CONTENT. Church girls didn’t show homage to Twinkie. It was actually quite disrespectful.
Music is music! The song didn’t slander Twinkie nor did it slander the Christian faith in any way the only thing it did was sample a gospel like countless other rappers and r&b artists do

I truly appreciate that we’re human and that we have bad days. I get Tamar’s comment. However, when you’re a mature Christian eating meat (Hebrew 5:14) excuses don’t cut it. The grace dynamic works both ways. The same grace and understanding you want, you should be ready to give. If somebody only wants to say “hello”, the Spirit can help you get through it. The person you snubbed could have been the one God sent to give you that “word” you needed. I’m reminded of a renowned Gospel artist going through intervention. The person helping her told her that while she empathized with why she ranted, she told her she went about things the wrong way. Her counselor reminded her that the people she was telling off were her bread and butter. Sometimes celebrities forget that important fact. I’m not saying this is the case with “The Voice”. Long gone are the days of the $25 ticket. Whether locally or internationally known, no artist on this earth will ever sing so good that they can disrespect me after I’ve paid their car note. That’s just me.
