After a while we decided to head back home and this absolute monster of a snake starts slithering away scaring the heck out of us as we walked past the intersection.
As someone living in a large city in Australia, there really isn't anything to be afraid of. Most of the scary stuff is in the outback. On the other hand USA seems much scarier to me. Like the countless videos I've seen of bears just roaming the streets and people's backyards seems much more alarming.
Agreed. I've lived both rural & outback...most of the animals that'll kill you stay away from you. The US seems a much riskier proposition with their bears and cougars etc
Yeah. North America has big bears and mountain lions. We don’t have creatures that attack and eat their victims. Our snakes are generally timid and unless cornered or provoked, are likely to avoid you. But if you walk in bushland wear stout boots and be on the lookout, but don’t let it ruin your walk. Our most feared spider, the funnel-web, is found in and around Sydney. Finally avoid swimming in tropical beaches in summer. Crocodiles, and Box and Irukanji jellyfish are abundant after summer monsoonal rains wash them from rivers into the ocean
yep, agree with that sentiment too. I grew up rural, and the only thing im really scared of, even though ive seen them a lot, are snakes. Get em when they're not cornered and they'll just bugger off, but I had one incident where there were lots of people on Christmas day and it had nowhere to go. Luckily ol farmer Grandma had the shovel and there's still a bit of a hole in our backyard where that snake was. Bears (and I've seen vids of scary moose too) scare me far more.

Poor guy didn't know, but there's an ant which has killed more people than the red back spider. In fact, most Aussies don't know that. Jumping jack ant, it's called in some places.
Nah, I think he explained that one time, when he said that he wasn't afraid before, because he had nothing to lose. But now he has a family, he has achieved success professionally, got into money - it's only logical to think "yeah, it would be a shame to die NOW, you know".
His reactions are so ridiculously funny. That Australian morning show and the Tonight Show with one of the Irwin kids leave me crying as I laugh so hard
as an Aussie, I can confirm that is how we'd describe a danger. "Yeah no dont' worry the [animal] will only bite you if you disturb it, they hide under the leaves on footpaths. Don't worry, nobody has *died* from a bite in years we have anti venom cos it's so dangerous. Want to go for a walk?"
As amazing as they are as standups Leno and Letterman were nowhere as good with comedians on their shows as Conan. Conan knows how to let comedians do their thing. He's the best 👌 👍
For those of you worried about our native wildlife in Australia, here are some statistics to put things into perspective: The average number of snake bite fatalities per year in Australia is 2 The average spider bite fatalities per year has been virtually 0 since the introduction of anti venom for red back spiders and the funnel web spider in the 1980’s In 2021 Australia had 12 unprovoked shark attacks on humans while America had 47 during the same period Tens of thousands of Americans die each year due to violent gun related crimes. I think Kevin is safer with the Australian wildlife 🦘🐨🐍🕷🦈🇦🇺
One correction. When people tout gun death numbers, most people reading that think homicides. one person killing another. Tens of thousands of people do die due to guns, that is true and very sad. But, well over half of those (some years as high as 2/3) are due to suicide. They are not all homicides. Unfortunately, guns are one of those inventions that can not be un-invented. I have a buddy who made his own semi-automatic pistol (actually, quite well done too), using tools he bought at Home Depot. he's made several of them now, in fact. A prisoner in Louisiana once made a rudimentary firearm WHILE in prison. to solve American's violence (aka "gun") problems, you have to solve the inherent violent nature of the human race.

@@enoraskye6020 Nope, it's just your country that's completely fucked. Whether some people (and not "human nature") have violent tendencies or not, that's a whole other issue. So stop trying to be "philosophical" about it and bringing "human nature" into this, it's a legal and a social problem that only exists in the USA.
We also have giant flightless birds called cassowaries, kind of an ostrich but with excessive steroidal rage. They'll rage attack cars in the bush (forest or wilderness areas if non-Australian) and/or disembowel a person in two seconds flat, and do not play well with others

Redback spiders are everywhere in Australia, mostly I have seen them in sheds and garages and the odd hidey spots around your garden, but very rarely seen them inside the house, if you're in Australia and your thinking about cleaning out a shed or garage, be sure to look before you place your hands anywhere, they tend to be where you coincidently place your hands to move an item such as a desk or bench etc. redbacks have been known to mostly eat insects, but can of course go for skinks, mice, frogs and the odd snake, a friend of mine had a redback spider as a pet in a glass tank, he placed a decent sized scorpion in there with it, came back the next day, the scorpion was all tied up in a web hanging upside down from the roof of the glass tank, so the redback is capable of a lot of things :P

But to calm me he said they haven't bite anyone here. Cool if I meet one I will stay as far away as possible. But then also said that it's the home to Russel's Viper and the saw scaled viper, which is the meal for king cobra. To top it off, 99% of deaths in the state are because of these two vipers. I start crying that I need to go back, but that's even more dangerous! I would rather be with the pack "Why are we here!?" @@terkukurpikat I have a similar story, lived in a tiny town so we would often have snakes around but this one time while we were playing at the park, one of the other kids spotted what appeared to be a dead eastern brown snake on the road and when I tell you this snake was stretched across the entire bitumen road, I am not kidding. After a while we decided to head back home and this absolute monster of a snake starts slithering away scaring the heck out of us as we walked past the intersection.
😂😂😂 Love the way you wrote this.
Aussie snakes are far worse than bears.
Or the guns in the USA WTF...
Kevin Hart had obviously listened to his hosts here in Australia , because he quoted quite clearly what each of our so called nasty animals can do if you cross them , having spent 56 years on this planet and all of them in this wonderful country i am still standing , yes ive seen everyone of these animals but haven't had to run for my life .He is an absolute professional comedian and can disect anything to make it funny .He's the best just love him, oh and it's a Koala not Koala Bear Kev !! just sayin

To be fair, all humans are afraid of death.
It makes me wonder why he even got a role in Jumanji movie in the first place
Nah, I think he explained that one time, when he said that he wasn't afraid before, because he had nothing to lose. But now he has a family, he has achieved success professionally, got into money - it's only logical to think "yeah, it would be a shame to die NOW, you know".

Kettering? Did you mean Letterman?
For those of you worried about our native wildlife in Australia, here are some statistics to put things into perspective:
The average number of snake bite fatalities per year in Australia is 2
The average spider bite fatalities per year has been virtually 0 since the introduction of anti venom for red back spiders and the funnel web spider in the 1980’s
In 2021 Australia had 12 unprovoked shark attacks on humans while America had 47 during the same period
Tens of thousands of Americans die each year due to violent gun related crimes.
@@enoraskye6020 "you have to solve the inherent violent nature of the human race" so 95% of the rest of the world has solved this problem and america seems stuck on it?
They have like 225million + more people then us .. so makes sense they get more attacks
@@iris4547 You're kidding, right? While the US leads the world in gun ownership and gun violence, we are not even in the top 10 for homicide rate (per 100k people). LOTS of other places in the world more deadly than the US, even withboir guns.
@@enoraskye6020 Nope, it's just your country that's completely fucked. Whether some people (and not "human nature") have violent tendencies or not, that's a whole other issue. Giving them access to guns and talking about "rights" and fantasising them, that's just mere stupidity, and it's USA's problem. So stop trying to be "philosophical" about it and bringing "human nature" into this, it's a legal and a social problem that only exists in the USA.
I love how Andy confessed about his job experience! Must not have mentioned during his interview or audition. 😂
The size disparity between these 2 is hilarious.
We also have giant flightless birds called cassowaries, kind of an ostrich but with excessive steroidal rage. They'll rage attack cars in the bush (forest or wilderness areas if non-Australian) and/or disembowel a person in two seconds flat, and do not play well with others

Gosh. Just put out a saucer of milk for the poor thirsty thing. Snakes will go for that, which is why one should NOT feed the cat outside, or leave the baby nursery window open. (not that one should give milk to a cat anyway).

Hello Kim 👋👋
They like to hide behind my hot water tank
Just to let all the non Australians know when my kids were at primary school they had a special warning bell for if there was a snake spotted on the school grounds and to stay indoors. No joke, they had a fire one, a hide there is a dangerous person on school grounds and a snake warning.
Omg I moved to the country and I heard they closed the stairs of the primary school building “for the second time that week” because of a snake.
One day at primary school a caretaker brought in 2 snakes he had to deal with on school grounds. It was a country town.
Freak!
An Inland Taipan. I sympathize with Kevin on this. Recently went on a trek and the guide informed us that this jungle is home to the majestic King Cobra. I was done! I would rather be with the pack
"Why are we here!?"
Cried my way throughout the juggle, those cries of Kevin Hart is complete nostalgia.

I'm in Australia and it's really not that bad as outside people say. Kangaroos are more scared of you and will move away, same with snakes, spiders you do have to be careful of though. There's nothing else. We haven't got coyotes, bears, tigers, cheetahs, polar bears or things like that. I've had a taipan go over my bare feet one day when I walked outside the house and it was curled up among our shoes and boots. I only went out to grab the mail 🤣 we used to get a lot of red belly black snakes around the milking shed. I've only ever been struck at once as a little kid when my cousin's and I were running through the rainforest on their property and I accidentally stood on a black snake. My brother come face to face, literally, with an eastern brown snakeone day when he was rock climbing. He pulled himself up to a good horizontal crack in the rock face and there was the snake staring him in the face. He was roped in so he jumped back and fell till the rope cut in.
