The movie is totally falsified. I request you to go and read the judgement available on Bombay highcourt website. Here it's shown that Mulji explains the real meaning of bramhsambandh about surrendering everything to Krishna and not Maharaj and speaks about being a devout vaishnav.
Whereas if you read the judgement, its the Maharaj who explains the real meaning of bramhsambandh mantra in the court and specifies that their sect nowhere tells about surrendering to Maharaj but to Krishna. And that Mulji's allegations are false.
In fact you can clearly conclude from Mulji's actual statements that he was not a vaishnav and was against the deity worship and worship of Krishna. He only believed in formless God of Vedas.
British Judges had convicted freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh as a terrorist, so how much theses judgements and valid in Independent India is questionable.
