I am so joyfully overwhelmed by all of your feedback and support on this video. You all have made me feel so seen & accepted, and I cannot thank you enough for that 🧡 Happy Sunday, friends!
p.s. to my comment below: And you don't need a partner. Unless you want one. I would never presume to tell anyone what will or won't make them happy. How would I know? That is for you to discover. I am in my fifties and happen to be in a partnership right now but have enjoyed the long stretches of aloneness as much or more than the partnered times. How much you share is up to you and I understand your urge for privacy.
I laughed out loud when you said some people think in your late 20’s early 30’s your life is over. I am 73 and sitting in my van watching the sun rise over the water in Anacortes. My friends and family think I am crazy. Live life on your terms!!
We’re 65 in our van in the Rockies. I love watching the youngsters grumble about the problems of van life. Medicare, pension, social security all managed on the phone and we are free to drive. Old age is the best time to go off in a van. Modern technology makes it easy.
I agree! My life is far from over, but I have been told many times that I need to "hurry up" or get my life together because if I don't I will regret it. You are living the dream - thank you for your wisdom!
I'm 60 and in few months 61. You be you. Without that you will never be able to truly be happy. Glad to see you to do this now and not waste years thinking about what others think. Age is coming and you look back and think that you can't go back and change anything. I appreciate you letting us all watch you adventure. Makes me want to get out more when I can in future to see some places I've never been once work allows more time in future foe me.
Gurl, I am so proud of you! Opening up is one of the hardest things we have to do especially when we aren't sure of the outcome. This is a pivotal moment in your life and I hope (judging by the comments it already is) you are shown nothing but love and kindness. Happy Travels!
Thank you so much Jen. The hardest part was finally saying it out loud - you all have made the rest feel like a weight off my shoulders. Thank you for being here, and for your kind words 🧡
I totally get where you coming from with the family aspect. I lost my Dad last year and he was in his mid 50's and that jump started me realizing I was telling myself I was happy with my job and life when I wasnt so I packed up my trailer and hit the road! You can make a family with people you love anywhere you go! Safe travels!
Mid 60's here and about the time I think I've figured out who I am, I think otherwise. Sexual orientation was more of an issue 40 years ago and now it seems the only people who care are our politicians. I'm glad you have it figured out and I hope this makes you feel more comfortable. I'm here for the adventures and travel and even though I don't know you, you feel like a friend. I've been without a partner for almost a decade and it's been okay but it certainly doesn't mean that if an age appropriate lady presented herself I'd shun the interest. Safe travels!
Hello again another great video and I totally agree and what you said that’s the only place where I can get to know my self is out there on the road meeting new people, friends camping friends. There is nothing like sitting around the campfire having some coffee hope to meet up with you someday and talk and will share stories until then take care of yourself and enjoy yourself.
You are complete with yourself. People who say that you need a partner do not understand that it's OK for someone to feel comfortable in their own skin. I came out in my late 20's and have never looked back. A persons sexuality does not define them. It sounds like you have a great support system with family and friends and you certainly do with your online community on this page. Your independent spirit, self reliance, sense of adventure is inspiring and admirable, and you are showing us also that your journey isn't just one on a physical road, it includes a journey of your own self discovery. ❤🏳️🌈
I think you’re amazing. If I didn’t get married at 19 and have kids so immediately I would of loved this lifestyle then as I do now. Take your time and just enjoy! Life can be so beautiful and troublesome. One day at a time is what I tell myself everyday. ❤
I saw you on your friends channel . I wanted to know your story . You are a sweetheart . You make great videos . I live that you brought your dog back and then continued your run . Don't stop sharing your story .
The evolving inner confidence and progressive peace has been apparent over the last year. You're perfect exactly as you are and for what it's worth I'm so proud of you for sharing more of who that really is. Sending all the (unconditonal) love and happy almost birthday from one Leo to another. 🎂💝
You are a beautiful, intelligent and skilled young woman. So happy for you that you took time to search your soul and find what makes you…you💕 Now…it’s a lifelong process that enfolds chapter by chapter. Keep embracing your journey with peace and wonder🙏🏻 Love to you🌹
I went through similar relationship issues. In friends and romantic interests. I just turned 40 at the end of July. I haven’t dated or talked to anyone in almost two years. Until I can choose better, I choose me. I think sometimes we can get in a rut and subconsciously choose the same soul in a different body. That’s when we just need to choose ourselves. Glad you’re figuring it out a lot younger than I did! 😂😂 good luck and maybe I’ll see you on the road sometime. ❤️
There's a freedom that comes when we accept ourselves enough to be able to speak our truths out loud. Proud of you. And excited to see you settle into your skin a bit more and live your life joyful and with the peace that comes from self-love.
Thank you so much Eileen🧡 It really does fee like a weight off, being able to show up as myself. Couldn't do it without all of your kind words and support :)
I too got lost in other people and so many “hobbies”. I’m still a woman in search of herself. I’m finding her and I am so happy. Our generation has us believing if we aren’t “fast paced” then we aren’t important. That’s so far from the truth. I’m searching for experiences and friendships that also feel me with joy. We have that in common.
The best way to find yourself is to step away from everyone’s expectations all that is familiar. Then you you will truly know yourself. Took me to reach 50yo to know & accept myself. Your doing great for 27yo. Enjoy your freedom x
Alex, as someone who has been following your journey since the sprinter van. It is truly a pleasure to watch you open up and become a little bit vulnerable and real. Because that's what you are. You're not just a girl on the internet. You are, but in reality you're a real life human being... Girl, real recognize real. You are one of the realest out there and that's why I still continue to enjoy following you on this journey. You just looked so Zen and so much more relaxed and it's very good to see you in this mindset. Although you're older videos were never really introspective into who you were as a person and more focused on the building part but like I said you are one of us and there are people out here that will love you unconditionally because, you. Aren't. Alone. This community loves you for who you are 💯✌️🥰🌈
Alex it is wonderful to see you & Terra happy back on the road in fully renovated Van! Don’t be hard on yourself as being young & full of life it is more about just being your authentic self! You are a mature thinking beautiful woman inside & out!! Safe travels & I hope you find that special person one day … no rush! 🤗💜🍻🌞🇦🇺 PS I just love your honesty!! 😍
Being content/happy is a wonderful goal! You are fortunate to have the support of your parents now, when you especially need them. And for many years to come, I’m sure. Treasure that, treasure your friends, Terra, and yourself❣️
You are who you are, and while unfortunately some won’t be able to accept that, the majority will and cheer you on. Be yourself, love who you want if and when that time comes. I wish I had your confidence when I was your age, I would have done things so differently, but regret is such a waste of energy! My parents came here from another continent when in their 20’s to start a new life, my only sibling moved across the country at 19, and is still there and loving it (we’re in our 60’s). As timid as I was, I stayed close to my parents, did the marriage thing, twice, and have 3 beautiful children from my second husband and am still good friends with their dad. I love my children with all my heart, but need something for me. I am currently caring for my elderly mom (93), so not sure when that will happen. Do what makes YOU happy right now, life goes by in a second!
You are young and just getting started! Age is truly just a number anyway. What matters most is how you feel. Thanks so much for sharing more about yourself. I'm here for all of it. 🙌
Alex, this was by far my favorite video you've done! ❤ Thank you for talking about *losing yourself* and finding yourself again and feeling comfortable sharing more of yourself here! ❤ You seem so incredibly happy, which makes me happy.
I watch your vids because you are interesting, I am amazed at the knowledge and your talent in building. You love who you love. You enjoy your life and thanks for sharing bits of it with us.
No one who follows you and your adventures and is invested in your channel will feel anything but support for you -nothing off putting. (Except maybe the whole life is over in your late 20s LOL! ) As I turn the corner on almost 62 believe me you are only just getting started! I hope sharing your truth like you did in this video and being your full authentic self has made you lighter. I look forward to seeing where life on the road takes you and Tara.
There is a true sense of connection with RUclipsrs who are authentic. Alex you are one of them. Allowing you’re audience to see and understand you makes it that much more enjoyable to watch your videos. Thank you for being true to yourself and with all of us ❤
Awesome vid as always.Late 20's you are still a.kid, have fun! You aren't leaving anyone behind, you are just off on an adventure, and can go home whenever you like. I am sure your family is proud of you and looking forward to your travel stories. You are entertaining as heck and we love watching your vids here in Edmonton Canada!
I feel as if I already know you since I've been here. Not by acquaintance, but by observing your actions and your care of Tara. That is also what I like about solo camping or traveling, it gives you the opportunity to have insight, to look inside of yourself and ponder over the life you have. I love the peace that the forest offers and it is very refreshing to my soul. Look forward to your coming adventures. ☺️
I believe you have your life together because you have an idea of what you want to do, where you might be in life. I can tell you that I don’t. I have been stuck in a cycle of work, go home, work for a long time. I see videos like yours ( I love your videos, lots of info of building) and can only dream of traveling or even attempting to build out a camper. I have a wife that has seen most of the country and doesn’t want to go back. My target to to retire at 62. Then maybe I could try to build out a truck camper, if I have the room. And for the comment about life is over in your 30’s, for some 20 - 30’s that means they need to take on responsibilities and start adulting. Which, sucks but that’s life.
You go girl , You be and live as you feel you are meant to be! Those that are worth your time , will freely follow and stay by you. Just be yourself and be proud! The camper and truck rebuild are awesome.
Just be who you want to be, it’s your life no else’s! You only have to answer to you, be yourself!!! Love watching Tara and you on your travels thank you for sharing! Stay at peace, be safe, spread your wings and fly! ❤😊
Hello She Roams Wild, i have been watching your videos for ages without comment and seeing you have the freedom to do what you want with your dog alongside you. You finally unburdened yourself and said that you are queer and were afraid of what people may say. I felt that it took you a long time to think about it and good for you for doing it. Keep up with the great work and looking forward to seeing another video soon. From London UK 🇬🇧
Enjoy who you are and believe in yourself, everything else will naturally fall into place. One thing many never figure out until it's too late, is how to be truly happy. This is generally because they are too busy comparing themselves to other peoples standards or telling others how to live their lives, when they really don't know how to live their own.. When you find true inner peace and happiness you can be content with life and all the beauty it offers.
Being honest about anything is freeing! The most important thing we can do for ourselves is to be happy in our own skin, and learn to love and live life alone…with our own selves…. It’s often this transition that finally leads us to the other enjoyable things we get in life. You often mention having some loving and super supportive parents.. so you don’t need another dad… but I can say as a father to three crazy kids … we only want one thing for our children.. for them to be happy. So keep the rig pointed towards what makes you happy …and everything else will fall in place. Ya it’s fun to have a partner.. you’ll find the right gal to adventure with when the time is right! No need to settle for anything but someone who treats you for what you are worth. Everything! Cheers! Adventure on!
You're not leaving anyone behind. You are, what us older generations call, Spreading your Wings. It's what we hope for and are excited for you to do. Enjoy, knowing that your parents are loving watching you grow into the amazing woman you were meant to be.
Love it! late 20's is nothing. I am 36 and just finished up 16 days Living in my truck camper. traveled all over Colorado and met a lot of people. I think anyone that lives this kind of life does it for different reasons, I was amazed at how many people I met that are living on the road, van life, truck bed camper, whichever. but everyone had their reasons as to why and the fact you have found a lifestyle so early should actually be celebrated where as myself at 36 barely knows what I am doing.
I watched your video yesterday. But I wanted to comment and said GOOD FOR YOU BABYGIRL. Be who you are not what people want you to be.Never hold back because you are Beautiful, Wonderful Sweet and Loving. God Bless and Love to you and your furbaby.
I absolutely adore you ❤ I'm about to turn 40 and just about to get into my own Nomadic journey. You're never too old and it's never too late for any kind of change, growth or experience. Can't wait to be witness to all you do!🥰
Loved this video, feel like we know you a little bit more. Keep being you ! Well done and look forward to watching more. I really love this rig you have too! ❤
I am so proud of you for sharing another part of your self. I’ve followed you for a long time. I’ve loved your positivity, confidence, sense of adventure and love of the outdoors (and Oregon). I also saw something in you that looked very familiar-being extremely private and guarded. I know what that feels like. Carrying the weight of avoidance and secrecy can be such a grind. I’m so happy you no longer have that burden. Now just be you…all of you. 🏳🌈
A part of me fears for the LGBTQ society. There is so much hate in people that they direct it in weird ways. You do you! Have great adventures. We’ll work on getting rights for all protected. 😊 Maybe Terra could have a nice Bulldog friend.
I am so happy to see you with a lot less stress on your face. Truth be told, I have worried for you from time to time. I am 71, a widow since I was 45. I have been a wanderer for all of my life and I was very fortunate to have a husband that let me travel alone or dragging my kids around with me. Keep true to yourself, knowing that there are many people who are rooting for you. As Pink sang, you are Fing perfect!
so glad you shared your true self with all of us. i also am a queer woman and wish you best of luck with your adventures to come in the future. i always look forward to watching you and your dog on youtube. stay safe. kris
When you decide to live your life your own way and put yourself out there and have fun, sometimes it feels like you have left your family behind or you're not close to them 100%. its ok to feel that way. You have to live your life and be happy the way you want sis. and family should be understanding. People have regrets in life when they are older because they didn't put themselves out there to live the life they wanted. They is always a reason for everything. Late 20s and 30s your life is not over. Its only challenging to have kids when you are on your 40s. You're still young and on the right path. Wishing you the best as always from the mid west.A lot of things can distract you, always stay positive and take good care of yourself. You can't do everything perfect at once. Close to you people are always gonna give unsolicited advice I wouldn't worry about that because you cant live your life the way they see you should. Personally I am always aware of my life, how it is and most things are intentional. People always tell me things and am like I already know that. Its like driving a reliable used car and you're aware of it but a friend keeps reminding you that you need a brand new car which can be headache with payments, high insurance premiums and timing is everything. You gonna look back and your life will be full of memories.
I could see just from the peace on your face that you are happy in who you are and we are happy you feel comfortable sharing that with the world! Keep on being honest with yourself and everyone else, and when and if you decide you are ready for a partner, the right one will come into your life. Being alone isn't something to apologize for, keep enjoying it! Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures on the road.
You are such a heartfelt and empathic soul, you see things and feel things' most people don't I have been following your journey almost from the start, and I have always enjoyed your being so authentic and being so real,. there is so much beauty and love that is waiting for you when you are ready, Please put a white light around yourself to protect your joy ...there is a book called the four Agreements by Don Miguel That I feel will give you guidance on your life's journey one of the self Agreement is Don't take anything personally which is very healing in itself. many blessings for you Take care...
We really enjoy watching you. My husband says you are a younger version of me lol. If he had his way we would throw everything to the wind and just take off and explore. As much as I would love to do that I cannot leave my grandkids and my daughter. We are given one chance to have a small part in who they will be as adults. I want them to have memories of us the way we do of our ancestors! This was a great video Alex. It was nice to know a little more about you! And I long for the day when people no longer have to be nervous or feel any need to explain who they are! We love you for who you are and that is a fabulous, unique and wondeful individual!!!!
You are a brave, wonderful young woman. It's lovely to see you leaning into your most authentic self. I'm just here to cheer you on along your journey!
Love following along on your journey! I have been watching your build and your trips and have enjoyed your videos! Thank you for sharing and neice vulnerable with us! I can’t totally relate to your wanting to be solo for now. I did the same thing and still do in relationship trying to meld with my partner at my expense. I have been on the road o er a year full time with my min pin 11:15 in my tundra and truck camper ! Love your rig ! Looking forward to your next adventure 🎉!
I think that for most of us, our 20's and 30's are about figuring out our authentic selves, what we enjoy, who we like to be with, and how to maintain our values as we navigate relationships with people, employment, and our communities. And some of us never do figure out how to hold our center when we have a partner, so being single is a better option. Just ignore the opinions telling you that you need to have a partner. Nobody knows you, better than you.
Maybe it’s time to tap out those that tell you that you are tapped out. It honestly only gets better and better when you are living your life on your terms.
Success in life means different things to different people for me success is being happy, just be yourself and do not worry about other people. Great video!!
It appears you are growing well. Nothing is lost with your outlook. I dig in deeper when authenticity is at stake. Be safe, have fun, and thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing some of who u r with us,im happy to say that its 2023 be who u r,be happy, love life, spread joy and happiness and that's exactly what u do,i love seeing all your adventures and do and don't dos of living on the road lol,u bring so much joy to so many of us,there is this calming peaceful vibe that radiates through you that draws me to your channel and that i keep coming back for,i can't wait to see what the future holds for you and how this journey helps uou grow and learn, and I'm here for it all..ty again for sharing your life with us and for keeping it real and honest with us,can't wait to see what's next.✌💚
Congratulations to you! it's a freeing, yet frightening, experience to be real with yourself and others. You be you! Nothing you mentioned should be weird or controversial, this is your life, live the way you are meant to enjoy it!
I understand your struggles. Been traveling and living My life for very long time. Ran away at 14 to California from Texas to live in a hippie commune. Travel on motorcycle, RV, van, boat and cars for decades. Yet still found time to get an engineering degree. Live life to the fullest. But have options. Now at 70, I still travel often and have very large remote wilderness off grid compound and home in Florida to rest and eat well. If you ever need a mentor, reach out. Much easier to have guidance. Life is very very long. You Can do everything.
Never be scared to be you! thanks for sharing the vulnerable parts of yourself! And remember that the ones that support you are the only ones that really even matter! 💜💙🩵💚💛🧡❤️🩷🤍🤎🖤
Congratulations and kudos once again on your terrific build. You have persisted, triumphed, been patient and attentive to all necessary things. I'm so glad you have a wonderful rolling home now that you can depend on. Also I know what you mean about the warm fuzzies of community when you visit places you are familiar with and the people there. Blessings for your continuing journey and may the wind always be at your back. 💖💙🤎
I am so joyfully overwhelmed by all of your feedback and support on this video. You all have made me feel so seen & accepted, and I cannot thank you enough for that 🧡 Happy Sunday, friends!
You're going to experience tons of different and new chapters in live. Every single one of them is special and amazing. As long as you keep being you.

Your life is over in your late twenties! I am 60 and just getting fired up with my van adventures. You rock girl! Many fun years to go.
You are beautiful, bold, and honest. Truth always hurts someone along the way, but the joy lies in having found it.
Thank you Candace🧡 the joy and relief I feel from showing up as my authentic self outweighs any negatives that have come from it.

Aww! Just be the Alex you want to & make a happy person & pup! Missed your "Bye" at the end...
I watch your vids because you are interesting, I am amazed at the knowledge and your talent in building. You love who you love. You enjoy your life and thanks for sharing bits of it with us.
You are wise beyond your young age. Very well done video! Still catching up on your older vids.
Looks like you're enjoying summer, have fun and stay cool. Been hot up there this year 💕🤙
There is a true sense of connection with RUclipsrs who are authentic. Alex you are one of them. Allowing you’re audience to see and understand you makes it that much more enjoyable to watch your videos. Thank you for being true to yourself and with all of us ❤
Proud of you! Stand tall in your truth, live fully, and be happy! You deserve it! 🩷
Love you vlogs and happy to see you being true to yourself. Family is important but living your life with no regrets is just as important.
Thank you for your vulnerability. Keep that light shining. The world needs all of our passion, joy, and realness. Sending much love.
live your life on your terms, your happiness is what matters in the long run.
You look radiantly gorgeous, you sound so empowered... and you're such an inspiration 🌻! Beat that drum of yours! 💙
Hi from the UK. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
I absolutely adore you ❤ I'm about to turn 40 and just about to get into my own Nomadic journey. You're never too old and it's never too late for any kind of change, growth or experience. Can't wait to be witness to all you do!🥰
Thank you for your honesty. You are just getting started, GF, and your life is and will continue to be fabulous!
Maybe Terra could have a nice Bulldog friend.
Loved this video and how vulnerable you were with it
I am so happy to see you with a lot less stress on your face.
You mentioned helping out some friends in Grants Pass. I live in GP and i love it.
Enjoy this time in your life to experience and explore! You will find the purpose life has for you! Breathe and relax. ❤
Sending you support, thanks for this video. I'm 65 now and can remember when I turned 29 and thought life was pretty much over. I'm rooting for you.
so glad you shared your true self with all of us. i also am a queer woman and wish you best of luck with your adventures to come in the future. i always look forward to watching you and your dog on youtube. stay safe.
Hello Alex, I love it when just be yourself, enjoy the life have and happy the way your life is going, and I love to see that
I love Oregon. I call it my sister state since I am from Idaho. Great video.
I'm proud of you; for finding yourself!
You're amazing I love you and nobody better ever judge you.
I am 79 and travel lost my husband 7 years ago, and enjoying my life.
Can not can’t lol
Here’s to fresh starts, finding and building community, and living fully and authentically. 🎉❤
It honestly only gets better and better when you are living your life on your terms.
that sunset drone shot 😍 also, totally resonate with everything you said!
Success in life means different things to different people for me success is being happy, just be yourself and do not worry about other people. Great video!!
It appears you are growing well. Nothing is lost with your outlook. I dig in deeper when authenticity is at stake. Be safe, have fun, and thank you for sharing.

Right on you got your truck back and said a little car
Congratulations to you! it's a freeing, yet frightening, experience to be real with yourself and others. You be you! Nothing you mentioned should be weird or controversial, this is your life, live the way you are meant to enjoy it!
Love, love , love your videos and will continue to watch. I’m so happy you spoke your truth. 💯
Blessing 🙌. Shamim 🎉❤
I'm enjoying your adventure, who you are is who you are. Don't let no one take your JOY!
I admire you and so enjoy your videos. Who you are attracted to does not change that in the least. In fact, I admire you more for your honesty.
Nothing better than being comfortable with and loving yourself!
Couldnt agree more :)
I have said it before, I will say it again--you are SO BRAVE and we all respect that about you. Keep pursuing your happiness, we all support you! ✌💕
Thank you so much Kathy, truly!
Never be scared to be you! thanks for sharing the vulnerable parts of yourself! And remember that the ones that support you are the only ones that really even matter! 💜💙🩵💚💛🧡❤️🩷🤍🤎🖤
You are doing just fine and are wise beyond your years. I wish I had the insight you do at your age. It took me some hard knocks
You are fearless. You are loved. You are honest even if it may hurt. A life well-lived I'd say. 💙
I really appreciate that, and agree wholeheartedly 🧡
You've made yourself portable. That means you can come and go as makes sense. That's called freedom. Keep being you.
