Lol, I do that to people. When I'm talking to Chinese friends (especially those who speaks Chinese as a first language) I'd always speak English in a Chinese accent.

I'm half Polish, half English and I'm bilingual. Whenever I speak English to my Polish friends who don't speak English well and have an accent themselves, I always put on an accent. I guess I always assumed it would make them understand me better because I did find that they would struggle to understand me whenever I spoke English to them properly and at a normal pace of speaking.
So I don't think it's racist at all! My friends actually find it quite amusing and endearing!
