Just like Vin Diesel says, it's all about the driver, not the car. In our case, it's not about the fancy tools; it's about how you use what you've got.
We're focusing on measuring and fitting-key steps to making your clothes look like they were made just for you. Grab your tape measure (yes, the long and floppy kind works best) and let's get rid of those wrinkles and imperfections. We're all about making things nice and even today. Remember, even a sidewalk chalk can mark your measurements (ask me how I know).

I like the last tip. I use white chalk on dark and lighter coloured fabrics. Time to bite the bullet and invest in my sewing inventory...Imma get that neon pink chalk 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I mean it could be neon green if that makes you feel better?
@@StylishDTailors Haha no ways man. A friend of mine was making fun of the fact that I actually know how to use a sewing machine proficiently and he joked about it seeming effeminate in a way. Hence the play on neon pink chalk.Jokes aside, I'll try using darker chalk on lighter fabrics.
@mikeadriano3330 meh, let him hate on you. Jokes on him, you look great in your store bought clothes and he doesn’t!
"that's what she said" 🤣
I'd been wondering where I kept going wrong with safety pins and with using the fabric pencil, stoked that you helped me figure that out. Your and your daughter borrowing each other's supplies made me lol too. Your videos are a lifesaver dude.
Great tips. Thanks to your channel, I was able to revive my sewing skills and now many of my shirts fit me well.
Awesome to hear, and thanks for the kind words!
Time to make some good fitting shirts!
Let's gooooo!!!!!
I usually need the shoulders of a large, but the body/waist of a medium and your tips have been extremely helpful to make baggy shirts fit....subscribed!
Happy to help! That's a frustrating problem to have I get it!
Man, you are so fancy and highfalutin with your multi-spectral street-chalks, I'd wager that on the sidewalk you'll about zigzag-backstitch-motifs and quadratic-hem-equations. 🙃
I just use a biro, because I'm cheap. 🤨
Hey Stylish D, what cost machine do you recommend? I notice the Brother ST371hd is about £270. Is a £470 machine not necessary to spend, a £270 is value enough.
Honestly even the machine I have is way overkill for a beginner. I usually suggest you look for a used machine that’s about $40-$80. Now that I think about it I’ve suggested that price for awhile without factoring inflation or the pandemic, so I’d move that to $60-$100.
SD, what is your opinion on circular fabric cutters (right name??)?
No trolling here, just asking the guy with experience. 😁✌🖖
Rotary cutters are great! They’re much easier to use when you’re cutting the fabric in a straight line actually.
@@StylishDTailors: Thank you. Yeah, Rotary. The word wouldn't come, this morning. 😁✌🖖
Okay to have it fit like a pro like you're showing and your thumbnail you have to have muscles you got any tips like to put muscles in the shirt????
Hah, their actually inflatable muscles that I got on Amazon, pretty realistic though huh??
"Putting muscles in the shirt"
It's called Working Out.
It's really just as simple and easy as SD's sewing tips.
You can do it at home, with some dumbbells.
You just have to keep at it. 😁✌🖖
@@zapa1pnt what is this working out thing you're mentioning is this a something new is this a new technology that's out there I'm lost.....
@@shamelessplace111: Sorry, I guess I was barking up the wrong tree. 🤣🤣 😁✌🖖
