Brody had a fearsome reputation for destroying wrestlers for real, (Mark Callas/Undertaker did an interview with Steve Austin about when he was Red Raider in WCCW his first match was against Brody and he just got annihilated), so Al Snow and his tag team partner are in a handicap match with Brody. The rest is just storytelling gold.
My first reaction to this footage was: "Man, can't believe Al Snow was wrestling back then. That means Al Snow is old as hell nowadays." Then I realized: "Shit, I'm old as hell too."
Just imagine if this tragedy never happened… Brody was easily the most talented and athletic of his era … the matches that he could have had with the likes of Hogan…Warrior…Undertaker would have been epic!
Wouldn't have worked with Warrior or Hogan. Hogan wouldn't have wanted to lose to him and warrior would have pissed him off no selling and Brody would have just beat the snot out of him with a quickness

Just prior to the first Wrestlemania a group of promoters led by Verne Gagne offered Brody a lot of money to hop the rail and beat up Mr. T at the MSG house show prior to Mania. However Brody refused because he thought that eventually Vince might bring him in to face Hogan.
Nick Bockwinkel said in 2000s era interview said that he protested Verne's decision to bring in Brody, feeling that Brody had his own agenda, and played by his own rules.

I'm sure Al Snow spoke about this match before, he was actually hurt before the match and said Brody took care of him even if everything looks good he never felt a thing. The other guy held on when Brody went to kick him off the apron and pissed Brody off, Al was telling him to drop down and you see it during the match before Brody stomps him off. That was a stiff kick that busted the guys mouth open for not selling the kick the first time. After the match Brody said to Al: "Good job kid, sorry about your friend" XD.
I think Ken Resnick got them flipped by mistake. Plus Ken pronounced Lima as "Lee-ma" when it's pronounced around here as "Lie-ma" (I'm about a half-hour away from Lima and go up there often for work assignments.)
AWA would come on every Sunday at 11am in the Twin Cities, KMSP Channel 9, and I watched religiously as a boy. No idea I was witnessing a legend in the making in Al Snow.
Rumor was there was to be fireworks, but King Kong Brody beat up the technicians in charge. The Huss! you hear was Brody's theme that played during the match, not unlike New Jack in ECW.

Yeah but in this case I get it. Sounds like this is Brody’s debut so it’s all about what an out of control, powerful wild beast this guy is. Letting Koko Lewis, who looks about 4’8” next to Brody, get offense in and have Brody sell it, would’ve been absurd. Even with Andre, the jobber offense spot in his handicap matches - which were usually 3 on 1, was momentary and almost played for laughs. The jobbers would swarm Andre, hurt him for maybe a second, then Andre would do some triple noggin knocker to wipe them all out.

Al Snow was blind in his left eye from a volley of shoot rabbit punching from Scott Irwin prior to this and requested Bruiser Brody to not target his head. Look very closely and Brody’s not hitting him in the face at all
Bruiser's agility was scary for his size. Now I can compare him with Braun Strowman legitimately thanks for the video. I would say Braun is slightly faster in moving but Brody is superior with agility and his overall movement.

Nick wasn’t wrong. Brody is kind of an Internet darling (and with good reason) but he really was kind of a scumbag, business wise.
