Awesome Layout. We all go through hobby phases and sometimes we veer away from them. Please make sure that you won’t regret your decision in the future. You have an awesome layout and engine and rolling stock collection. Whatever you decide, being happy is the most important. Our hobbies are just stuff we can’t take with us in the end. Good Luck👍❤️🙏🔥💪🇺🇸
@@RABSTRAINS thank you for your kind words. I agree, I’ve been thinking about selling the collection for many years now and I don’t think I’ll have any regrets. The layout was a big part of my life when my girls were little, now I just feel it’s the right time to move on to my next adventure in this space! All the best!
Very nice layout and collection. Would be nice if you could find a buyer for the layout. You really did a great job with it. Be nice if found a good home and you could get some money back for it.
I understand the feeling. I've built (and moved/ dismantled) 5 layouts through the decades. I'm hoping to start another one in retirement in a couple years! BTW, I love your collection. Those NS units look very handsome, and with very nice weathering. I've had the pleasure of riding in the cabs of a few of the big NS GE's over the years (I work for a Class 1). The newer NS units are nice, but I'm not a fan of the small conductor's "desk" on those, which more accurately should be called a platform.
@@samsrailventures1961 thank you for your comment. That’s awesome that you work for a Class 1 RR! It is bitter sweet, but then again, creating is the fun part! All the best.
Sometimes you know when it is the right time to move on. Beautiful collection of locomotives and railcars. Those filled display cases alone make for great decorations even with the layout itself being taken down. Best wishes on your next project. Maybe you will get the itch to get back into the hobby some time in the future, whether that might be an empire or small shelf/switching layout.
R.I.P. H&K ..... I just came across this video ... Subscribed!!!

Thank you for sharing your vision with us and preserving your work for RUclips eternity (we hope). May you find enjoyable pastimes to fill the space.
Algorithm brought me here. Beautiful layout. Good luck on your next adventure.
Thank you very much. I’m looking forward to the next project.

Getting older is a pain, we lose many from the hobby for different reasons.
Blessings, nice RR
@@bibledefinedbymartycozad I know. Getting under the bench work was not as easy as it was 13 years ago!!! lol.

Always sad to see a layout go, but you said you enjoyed it when you did. Why did you have glass around the layout?
@@troy.peters ha. The plexiglass around the layout was to keep our three cats off the platform!!!
Thanks!
Sorry, not sure whether I missed it, but what scale?
HO
@goarmysleepinthemud. So this would be the normal 'shop' sold size and not speciality like N?
@@mospeada1152 yes. It’s HO scale. Thanks!
What happened? 🤔
