Love this, and have seen at least one other video in this sunset series, a concept with a depth all its own. The horns, the tempo, the double-track vocals, the blend of realism and surrealism in the vocals, lyrics, and imagery - all of it constitutes heaven for me. I can hear or see something new each time through. Beautiful.
In ‘Roundtable’ someone mentioned “bordering on the defensive”, and I hear that right next to the voice of wonder, e.g., “…dreams of a Lexus coupe, the one Nas had in ‘The World Is Yours’ re-mix”, and that’s powerful. And relatable.
There is contentment and transformation through listening, recognizing that everything this person touches seems to be gold. There is hope for the base metal in and among us out here listening. 💛
