Hey Kyle! Fun fact that you may already know but I hope you can put into the vlog: the two towers of aulani represent the men and women of Hawaii. The masculine tower is Wai’anae, in the lobby you’ll notice that side has men in a mural and the water feature is more jagged and roughly flowing to represent the tough masculine roles the men partake in; the feminine tower is Ewa, and in the lobby you’ll find a calming and soothing water feature to represent the kinder and more caring qualities and roles the women partake in. Hope you enjoy your stay!
It's been several years since I was last at 'Aulani, but the one special Disney touch that always stuck out to me was that the elevator music was Hawaiian renditions of classic Disney movie songs. I hope you guys have a blast!
Aulani is easily one of the most beautiful and underrated Disney properties in the world. It is truly incredible and I hope every Disney fan gets to experience it at some point.
Went to Aulani in February. Your videos are taking me back. It’s so beautiful there, totally peaceful. I learned really quickly that time moves differently in Hawaii. Most of the time people are in bed and asleep when it gets dark and they are in less of a hurry. Days start a bit earlier and have a laid back vibe. Enjoy it all but you’ll get addicted.
As someone from Hawaii, people dont just casually wear leis lol. Its usually reserved for celebrating something big like a wedding or graduation or if you're a tourist and it's given to welcome you!
Yes, you were lucky Donovan got those lei for you. Usually visitors to the islands only receive lei at the airport if they're on a package tour or if they are celebrities. I don't think any hotel gave lei to guests, even in pre-COVID times.
WOW!!!! beautiful doesn't even say it!!! ENJOY!!! and yes, as somebody who's been watching since the DCP days, Its amazing to see the opportunities you're getting now and how far you've brought your channel. I know you dont take it for granted either- LET'S GO water park day!!!!
We go to Aulani every year (every December) and we always stay too at ocean view 1 bedroom villa. But since we went to Atlantis and Baha Mar in Bahamas (we go every spring break or summer) and We realized Aulani is such a really small resort ☺️but we still love Aulani 🥰 but now my kids always ask to go to Atlantis or Baha mar because it’s a nice and big resorts.
Hawai’i is the lushest greenest place I ever went to. You can actually have ANY climate you want - just have to play with the altitudes and orientations. Happy you enjoyed. Can’t wait to go back.
Been there twice and going again in 30 days for my hubby’s 50th. This video make me even more excited. Enjoy your stay. If you have time, make sure that you explore outside Aulani.
Had my wedding at Aulani in April. Started planning it in 2019 so I’ve visited a handful of times recently. I highly recommend renting a car and exploring the island! Aulani is wonderful but Hawaii has so much more to offer; don’t travel all that way just to sit at the resort! Visit Waikiki, go to Haleiwa, jump off the rock at Waimea Bay, get a snack from Ted’s Bakery, some shave ice from Matsumoto or malsadas from Leonard’s, snorkel somewhere like Shark’s Cove or Electric Beach, Kualoa Ranch, Diamondhead, Pearl Harbor, and so much more! Skip the Dole Plantation.
@@Katz1950 great one! And idk if they still do but PCC used to have buses from different areas of the island so you wouldn’t even need to rent a car for that one
I'm so glad you and Jojo are enjoying your first stay at Aulani! I do want to give you a tip before returning home regarding the leis if you are not planning to take them home. It is customary to return leis to the earth as they are regarded as treasure and not to be thrown away. One common custom is to take the flowers off the string and set them free in the ocean. Anxious to see how much you enjoy the Waikolohe Stream and pools!
I am so excited for you two to be in Hawaii! We have contemplating moving there someday. I just love the laid back vibe. Enjoy! You are on the best side of Oahu right now.
Hey Kyle and Jojo! So loving your content from Aulani! We stayed at a Marriott down the beach from Aulani so we walked over and loved our tour of Aulani. We must see if we can stay there one day. Have the time of your life you two!! Can’t wait to see more!🌺🌺
So beautiful. My husband and I having been thinking about an Aulani trip since before the pandemic. You have convinced us to book with just this first vlog.
Hey Kyle, wow Aulani is just so breathtakingly beautiful beyond dreams 😍🥰 I'm so thrilled for you & JoJo being there! I love seeing everything there, it fills me with joy! Absolute paradise. Have the best time ever & thank you so much for all the vlogs x
Been twice and will be going in September for 10 nights.. as we’re DVC Very beautiful. First time we went we did all the tourist stuff, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki, swap meet, etc. 2nd time we went we just stayed at the resort and didn’t do any excursions. Make sure you bury your Lei at the end of your trip.
Nice video, please consider others' privacy - that guy in the restaurant didn't seem too pleased. The ocean view is spectacular, great to see what it's like in person. Thanks.
"Does it ever rain in Hawaii?" LOL. You didn't really ask that, did you? Hint, hint, look at all the GREEN. Absolutely beautiful resort and room, thanks for sharing with us; unfortunately, 99% of us will never get to go there.
Lol i thought the same. Like did He just asked rhat question? Maybe he needed to research Hawaii before he went. Also, he said he hasn’t seen videos about Aulani… there are tons on YT. Oh Kyle. 😂
Hawaii has a vibe like no other, breathe it in,soak up the sun, live like no tomorrow. Snorkel in Hunauma Bay, zip line in Keana Farms and hike in Manoa falls - Aloha Kyle 🌸🌺
Happy for y’all first time at Aulani , I’ve been to Hawaii once for 3 days. Not at Aulani, but 3 days is not enough time. I can’t wait to go back, hopefully a lot longer stay 🙏. Have fun, have a sweet Hawaiian drink for me 😊. FYI , elevator music is Disney songs
We were there in early Feb this year. I loved it and spent mornings out by the pool or beach. My husband was attending a conference in the mornings, so in the afternoons we drove all over the island. Beautiful beaches. I'm glad you are posting your videos. I didn't see any before we went and I looked for them! Like the lady below, you make me remember a beautiful time and I wish I could go back!
Also, it sounds like drinks were less expensive during your stay. Drinks cost $15 each in Feb, and your pineapple drink only cost 18 with the 9 dollar upcharge! Summer is the time to go, obviously!
I love seeing peoples expressions when they go to Hawaii for the first time. My Dad was stationed there for 7 years (unheard of) so my sis grew up there and we go as a family every few years. Curious about all the outside of Disney activities you will be doing. There’s SO MUCH to do. If you like physically challenging things to do (I feel like you don’t though:( ) you should do KoKo Head! But definitely diamond head as a first timer. There’s a place very close to diamond head that has the best scones you will ever have in your life. And there’s a super cute farmers market called the KCC Farmers Market. I think it’s on Saturdays? It’s been a few years since I’ve been. Have a blast!
Hope you guys enjoy your stay in Aulani! Took the family there 10 years ago. Your room view is awesome. We actually had room right there also. In the evening they usually have a musician playing right below where your room is. Sit out there and enjoy the sounds! Need to get back there soon. Aloha🤙
Enjoy but for Pete sake. You both are adults. Share the king size bed. Roll away beds are never as comfortable as the main bed. Ignore any comments. Live your life out loud!! PS. A Bear button is perfect with your hairy chest. But the skin piercing might hurt and it will take awhile to fully heal. ....JK
Just booked the Wish after watching your vlogs and now this is definitely on my list. Your energy is contagious, addicting and now expensive! Keep up the great work, your vlogs are the best!
We went to Aulani literally before COVID shut down everything in 2020. If you want to get more leis, you can go over the ABC store in the shopping center across from Aulani. They sell fresh leis every day. Aulani did give each guest a lei before covid. You can keep your lei fresh in the refrigerator.
Even with Kamaaina rate I can’t afford Aulani. Which is the locals rate. Nice to finally see what it looks like inside. You guys should go to wet and wild while you’re here too. It’s not the biggest water park but it’s what we got.
Oh my gosh! I’m so excited for you to be at Aulani finally! We went last year in May and it’s just beautiful! Get all the drinks there! They are so good!! Don’t forget to go to Kualoa ranch for the Jurassic park tour! It’s a must do! Lanakai beach is the prettiest ✨ and hamburger in paradise are the best burgers in Waikiki area! So good! Enjoy Hawaii
So beautiful! That time change is tough. My family and I tried to stay up as late as we could after landing as well. We stayed on Waikiki beach and forced ourselves to stay up until 8. We were treated to the first Friday night fireworks show since the pandemic. It was a great way to end our first official night in Hawaii. I can’t wait to go back. Maybe we’ll get lucky and stay at Aulani.
We actually made an Instagram story where we go to Hawaii for summer vacation. Of those Hawaiian places we went is Aulani. This video reminds us of our story!
Enjoy your stay at Aulani. It's stunning. We spent alot of time in that lazy river. Make sure you get out and see the island. I am looking forward to seeing where your adventures take you.

That was so nice of Donovan, wow - ohana in action!! Oh man, those Hawaiian views. The lobby is stunning but let's be honest, it's all about the view 👍 Love it, why's there a bear on there, hahaha (TBH, I thought the same thing 😂) That room was awesome, but again, it's all about the view, OMG dude, that view 😃 Paradise, that's all I can say, wow.
Loved my first stay at Aulani in a one bedroom last December… can’t wait to go back…I’m not sure how long you are staying but you should try exploring the whole island…we particularly loved the ATV tour at Koalua Ranch and driving around the North Shore…we also really enjoyed the luau at Aulani if you can do that.

Thanks for the tour of Aulani!! I've never stayed there -- we only stayed in Honolulu once in our 4 trips to Maui. We've been to Kauai, Oahu, and Maui. Haven't been to the Big Island. Our 2003 trip to Hawaii included 7 nights at our Maui Timeshare -- yes, we own a timeshare in Maui -- followed by 2 nights in a B&B in Honolulu, near Diamond Head. Hope you guys do spend some time at Pearl Harbor, as I know Kyle is a history buff!!!! Mahalo and Aloha for now!

Yes my 1st time to Aulani was June 2022. Flew from MA to LAX ( about 5 hrs) spent 2 nights in Anaheim, then flew to Honolulu (5 hrs). Was nice to break up the flight. Enjoyed watching your video & seeing the resort again. And we didn’t get a lei when we checked in 🙁. ( I was a little disappointed too)
My first trip to Aulani is this November and I was so excited when you announced your trip. It’s been at the top of my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Suuuuuper excited and our family is loving watching your trip!
I’m watching your vlog to get some ideas. Traveling to Aulani (alone) for 3 days. Wondering how to book a ride to the hotel with Donovan?? He might be too expensive. Planning on speedi shuttle if Donovan rides are too much $. Glad you had fun!
Wow!! This place is BEAUTIFUL!! I have been to the island of Maui, but I have always wanted to stay at Aulani!! My jaw literally dropped when you walked into the room! This place is definitely on my bucket list! Also, I literally laughed out loud when you were talking about the grass, because I knew you would notice how beautiful the grass is. Haha
“I BEARly knew who this was” 😂😉 seriously dude you have to work on your character knowledge. I went to Hawaii when I was a kid and thought it was such a magical place. I can’t wait to go back one day. And yes, it definitely rains!
Y'all are so funny and look so tired. Glad you are having the best time! Your mornings will be fire for a few days, take advantage and go meditate on the beach!
CLUE: Once you are wearing a Lei, they don't keep piling them on. So, on your first day, you were walking around with a Lei on questioning why you weren't getting a Lei, it was humorous as you need to take the one off you have on, in order to get a new one.
I remember when Duffy the bear came out. I was working at Downtown Disney and they had a big display in the WOD store. Coworkers would tease me about it. It died down in the US after a few years but the Japanese went wild for it. That's why it big on that side of the world.
Rent a car and drive around the island! It’s amazing! Stop and do the short hike to Waimea falls to swim in a freaking waterfall! Doooo it! Worth it! Have fun!
Hey everyone do me a favor 👍🏻 the video up! Let the adventure begin, super pumped for our Hawaii series.
🤙🤙🤙
👍👍as always 👍👍🌺🌸💕
Your pure happyness arriving at Aulani made me smile! Great video Kyle! Cheers from Brazil!
Seemed odd that the family that sponsored the hotel stay only got a 5 second mention at the end of the vlog.
Barely rain in the summer. August is the hottest month in Hawaii!😎

Wow, just Wow. I need to get out there soon! The Duran family sure has been good to you! Can't wait to see the rest of your week.
Haha
That Place Looks Fun To Go
Please try to go to Diamond Head you won’t be disappointed. Have fun guys!
The Four Seasons is a frequent filming location for movies and TV shows. The Wrong Missy is one example. Sonic 2 also.
Absolutely fantastic vlog Kyle. Such a beautiful place. Can’t wait for more vlogs! Enjoy every minute 😊
Gorgeous! Aulani is out home DVC. We were there in 2014, miss it so much! Wish Disney would build on the Big Island - it’s our favorite island 🏝
This is my very 1st time seeing Alani even in a video
Loving this!! And made sure I showed my husband how beautiful and fun the resort looks like!! 😂😂
Just got back from Aulani myself one week ago. It was magnificent!!

So good catching up on these videos I’ve missed the passed couple weeks and I feel my mood is down without my daily dose
Rent a car and drive around the island! It’s amazing! Stop and do the short hike to Waimea falls to swim in a freaking waterfall! Doooo it! Worth it! Have fun!
Thanks! It looks amazing might do this now
Hey Kyle, if you want your lei to last longer put it in your fridge at night and when you're not wearing it.
Hi Kyle, been a little behind on videos, had family in town. I can’t wait to travel again, thanks for always traveling for us ✈️
Next time, try Hilton Waikoloa in the Big Island. It makes Aulani like a baby hotel.
