I dont like the tit back safety feature on this thing very dangerous to use it on bike lane. sometime you try to keep up with same speed as the bikers and than it just kick in and try to make you not slow down but try to come to an almost stop and than you can start moving again that is very dangerous I think.

Love mine! I've gone over 200 miles, and it's really a great little transporter. TONS of compliments! I use it to get groceries at Walmart, and it has shortened my shopping time significantly! It's just FUN to ride around and go places with, and I've never had an issue with it. Money well spent!
I bought two. Downgraded both to firmware 1.1.7 based on comments in a
user forum I found. Over three weeks I've got over 125 miles logged.
These devices are amazing. In my community (Oklahoma City, OK, USA) the
ADA act and matching federal funding has improved all sidewalks and
street crossings with ADA compliant ramps and street crossing buttons. I
can go almost anywhere and stay on the sidewalk. 13 miles, up and down
hills, across major streets without ever stepping off the MiniPro.
After the first few miles riding the MiniPro it becomes intuitive and I
truly do not even think about maneuvering the device. It was easier to
learn to ride this than to ride a bike.
As long as riders are conscientious of pedestrians and don't create a
negative perception by tricking, or speeding around when pedestrians are
present this device will become the new urban standard for commuting.
Segway invented the tech. that the "hover boards" use. This is way better than the "hover boards" because this is the real thing, made by the company that invented the technology. Calling it a hover board is an insult. It's a personal Segway.
Quieromuchachas yeah, i tried first models of segway selfbalancing vehicle in early begining of 2000s. The cost of standard segway was astronomic - about $ 6'000 - 10'000.

The main problem is, all these standart hoverboards are way to WEAK and underpowered (not in speed, but in torque), they have two 300 watt engines which are weak and get completely stuck when you try to ride into a field, or over grass like you did in this vid. How many watts does the engines of this Segway have? This Segway drives PERFECTLY over grass, stones, etc. without any torque problems.
Whoever thought they should be called "hoverboards" is severely mistaken.

Warning...don’t purchase this item. It’s 22 feb 2019. My Christmas present, a Segway mini pro had to be replaced twice due to battery issues. Fed up, I went to Segway for help. This lot is the most un supportive representation of Segway ever seen in what I thought was a reputable company. I am currently awaiting unit threes return from the hell hole called Segway tech support...it seem that with Segway, its caveat emptor.
Today through Amazon Prime day, get the Segway miniPRO for $699.00. This is almost half off and ends tonight. This thing is great!

Hi. I know so many people mistakenly think Segways are another "hooverboard" but they are not. They are the original "Personal Transporters". They came into being many, many years before 'hooverboards' came into existence. Personal Transporters.
Yeah, but this new product from Segway doesn't predate the "hoverboards". Also, this uses an internal gyro stabilization system where the hoverboards do not. Also, this is from the Segway company which was bought out by a Chinese company. So who knows where the QA will go.
+Feint thier the company who crashed Segway and then eventually bought them out. so far QA is great, and Segway is still based in WA, USA.
+Carlos T they contributed to Segway's demise I believe with thier own mini.. this is a great product. let's hope Segway's stay that way but with more "affordable" offerings like the Minipro. :)
If this were released before the hoverboard, this would have gained more traction (no pun intended) in the market. The hoverboard dimishes the marketability of ninebot's product. The negative experiences, press, and association with the hoverboard is what has kept me from buying this, even at the Amazon Prime Deal day price of $700.

How much do you guys make on RUclips? Can you do a video on it? Like how you started and what not. I'm really interested in starting RUclips.
How dose it compare to the last generation full size segway? Everyone is comparing this to a overboard but some of us have been riding a full size i2 for a very long time and the cost of replacing batteries has become too much. Never rode a hoverboard and this is a scaled down model of the i2 or at least look like it. Will it preform like it? Lost weight capasity of 25 lbs but besides needing to own a smart phone I do not see much diffferance beyonde range being shorter.

The main pro I can see from this is the fact that the base is one piece... on normal hoverboard if you turn on of the sides slightly at speed your coming off, no negotiating your eating pavement...

I'm glad you're aware of the fire hazards of older models Jared. I was worried when I heard many of them had been recalled as I knew you owned a hoverboard. Was your red one from one of the lines that was recalled? Did you have to throw it away? D: Glad you found a new one anyway!

Oh, and drop the air in the tires down to about 25psi (if your maybe 190 try 35psi).
Can you ask them to use gel foot pads? As you probably figured out by now, standing on them for a half hour, or sometimes less, can be pretty painful!

Do these feel stable enough that 60+ yr olds can safely ride them?
I am 72 with reasonable balance and I also have COPD, this has been the perfect “personal mobility device” for me. I can take it with me in my cars as it only weighs 28 lbs. I have added a More4MinI handle, which makes it much easier to control...more a comfort issue. It is UL certified and made by a reputable company who purchased the original Segway technology created by Dean Kamen. This is a great transport, Not a Hoverboard.

It's a miniature of the Segway PT, or specifically the Segway i2 (which I own), hence the lean-steer technology modified for the knees. So it's not a hoverboard, but if that's what makes it sell and get popular, cool.
Id rather get a gyrobot g1 hoverboard cuz this thing costs a thousand bucks...

This thing is 10x better if you order the handlebars for it you can get it off there site. I have a video using the handlebars once I added them never went back to the knee staring, works like a charm :)
They cost an extra 185$ but be sure to get the one with the kick stand.
