such a stunning location 🐳Hermanus was there for my sons 30th last May. Thanks Chris for our updates. So glad to be home today so can finally catch up on ALL your broadcasts 🕺
Im going to be there in November .... (on Honeymoon !). I know SA has problems but best we can do is to support SA by holidaying there and adding to the economy. Having said that.... the loadshedding in SA is the exception now but expect this to be the norm in Europe and USA in the next decade.
Why downplay Tourism when it is likely to create significant jobs, with minimal resources (time, training, costs)...unless you don't care for the unemployed, poor and vulnerable 🤷♂️🤔
@@spandel100 that which you are proposing has failed in the last 30 years...NT has no direct authority over departments and how departments use/misuse public funds...go check the ballooning irregular expenditure inspite of annual AG reports. My point is, if UNEMPLOYMENT, is a problem in RSA and politicians want to work for society, they should be fighting for Tourism more than some of the other departments (including Finance)...which are generally self-serving to politicians. Political parties must fight for better service delivery (water, electricity, roads, policing, health) than oversight and control of money...if a department gets allocated R10, it must do everything in their power to ensure that R9.99 is spent on services that are desperately needed in society/communities...NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND 🤞
@@petermabe897I agree that the DA can and should turn tourism around in this country. But to do that effectively, we also have to solve crime (especially violent crime) and have reliable public services (e.g. electricity, water, sanitation, transport, roads, etc). The hospitality sector *really* struggles when there's water cuts (sometimes lasting days to weeks), because all guests want to wash, bed linen and towels need to washed, etc. Same with other public services. And it really puts off tourists from coming here when there's constant stories in the news how tourists were robbed, raped and/or murdered. So it needs a multi-pronged approach, can't happen in isolation.
Thank you again for your great reporting, very sensible.
The moment the cabinet comes in loadshedding and anarchy will get worse

Rumour has it ANC only offering DA 3 ministry positions hence the DA telling them to p#$$ off..
The ANC is causing shit for themselves if they push with that.
ANC got 50% more votes than DA. So based on this, would the ANC be happy with only 6 seats? Definitely not...
THE POLITICAL CIRCUS 🎪 CONTINUES 🙄🙄🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yes no thiefs ahead
Enjoy Hermanus say hello to my parents if you see them along the cliff path 🥰
Next move, DA out of GNU, Bosa in?
the truly beaitiful places in SA is not even on most tourist destinations...hermanus is okay
Hermanus, beautiful but FAKE - far removed from any semblence of the REAL SA
I think that's really time that DA leave the shit because anc will going forth to thief
Chris: Orania is too far.
Also Chris: Reports from Hermanus.
Will the DA get red-pilled? Or will it still think itself David to slay Goliath over time. A looong time. We already lost 30y.
Steenhuizen for DP. Cyril ousted for phala phala. Pres Steenhuizen. Full DA cabinet. Simple.
Aren't they stalling untill MK is sweared in Tomorrow ?
Kan wees, kan wees. Goeie skuif. Maak sin.
Lets hope they choose younger people with a brain.
Hello

Better run finance sector will automatically improve tourism, thats why the downplay,it is lower on the ladder.DA should go for finance AND tourism.
