Memento was remade in India and was a blockbuster hit in India. But Nolan never said anything against the film maker when he was told about he just laughed. Nolan is a true gentleman.
I was watching interstellar with my father and it's his first time watching it while I've seen it before multiple times, anyway I asked him his thoughts on the movie and he thought not many people would like these kind of movies as he felt it more of a lecture or a physics lesson than a movie, i I disagreed with him because that's what I absolutely love about Christopher Nolan, he has an unusual mind a scientific one like that of an engineer that's what amazes me is he takes a simple idea and he goes through it from different perspectives turning it into masterpieces.
Interstellar all comes down to saving the world but the process to achieve that is different than any other movie that's what I mean, same for inception tenet memento and all his movies
Why no mention of his adaptation of "Insomnia" and "The Pristige", both are excellent and very underrated films, that deserves more love. Is it because they adaptations and not his original concepts.? 🤔 All Nolans film are great, especially TeneT, my favourite so far, what a mind melter that is, and hopefully the start of a franchise, its got so my potential for Prequel /Sequel's 🤞
Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg are legendary directors but never have I been influenced so much as I did while watching Sir Nolan's movies; Interstellar, Inception, The prestige etc, the culmination of science, realism, cinematography, screenplay is what makes Mr Nolan the greatest director of the 21st century.
Tenet is a great film. What makes it inferior to other Nolan movies is that, it lacks the emotional element, his other movies pocess. All right, the relationship between Protogonist and Neil is good, but still lacks something. In his other movies, audience would root for the hero... Like in Inception, Interstellar etc.... Here we can't get that feeling to root for The Protogonist.
Nolan did this intentionally. The Protagonist is given no name, no backstory, and no traditional character arch on purpose. The Protagonist was never meant to be a Cobb or a Cooper. This is a unique writing approach to a main character and once you understand TENET on a deeper level, you’ll admire Nolan’s decision to write the Protagonist the way he did.
Also we didn’t have Hans Zimmer make the sound track for Tenet. He made them for interstellar and inception which is why they’re more powerful in a way
In my view : He is the most intelligent director. (I think he is from future, who is trying to make human know what happens in future with his mind blowing movies😄)
There will never be another Christopher Nolan. This man has never had a long list of films in portfolio like Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese but the few he's made takes you to unimaginable possibilities and shows the power of the human mind.
Watching a man's entire career in 6 minutes where he noticeably grows older with each movie release is a poignant reminder of the shortness of our lives.
Tenet is the best mind binding film i have ever seen. For me, the story, screenplay and the techincal aspects of Tenet is better than Inception. Inception was the best sci fi movie till tenet came.
Nolan is also look like hero and his film has taken him to a top notch level.. I love his cinematography❤ He is one of the genius filmmaker of 21st century.
Completely missed the opportunity to tell that Nolan hates green screen and CGI. Interstellar didn’t use any greenscreen and hardly any CGI. (only the wave on that planet and the complex movement of TARS.) everything you see is real. Big sets, props or miniature things. Besides he is one of the few (or the only one?) still filming with a IMAX camera. No digital, just film. I cant wait for Nolan’s next…
Nolan according to me is the best film maker I've ever experienced the way he makes ppl to watch his movies in the theatre multiple times us just amazing.
Is it just me or someone else feel it too that tenet is highly inspired by Terminator series where protagonist is like John Connor and Neil like Terminator or John Connor's dad sent back to past for saving the future leader. Everything is so similar.
Tenet is actually one of the best, most creative movies of all time once you realize and truly understand the characters and their stories
Absolutely, I just loved Pattinson in it and Kenneth branagh too
If he could not made him as a director I think he would be scientist..
