Another epic collab. Do people still say collab 🤣😂🤣? I haven't made Jambalaya in forever. I used to steep the shrimp shells in water and make a sort of stock and use that for the liquid. I think I've made Shrimp Etouffee more than Jambalaya. They are almost the same except for the roux.

Made this recipe this weekend, with my own twist using Old Bay as the main flavor seasoning. It was incredible. Definitely ordering the cookbook and some seasonings!

I’m from Cuba so, we like to add a bottle of beer to the pot (with all the protein already in it- except the shrimp), then add any liquid, stir and cook for 5 minutes, then add shrimp. Put the lid on and cook until rice is done ( without taking the lid off) You both are excellent cooks!!
"The camera eats first" That wasa funny :) The difference between the 'trinity' and the French vesion is that the merpua (or however that's spelled) is the trinity has carrots onions and pepper the other uses celery instead of pepper (as I understand it)

When I'm making gumbo or jambalaya, I take the tails off the shrimp. So I can eat hands free. Looks good though.😋

Is this okay to make the day before a party ? What would be the proper way to reheat ?
I'd reheat on the stove top, just use broth to liquid it up again, and put the shrimp in then, you don't want rubbery shrimp
