I did no RUclips for a month(I don't have any other social media) cause it was taking from my studying time and actually affecting my grades. And it just ended up that I found other things to fill that time with. That was like for the first 2 weeks and then I realized I was kinda sabotaging myself and had a little talk with myself about why I was a voiding working and it got really deep with me realizing I didn't think I was good enough to study engineering and was therefore not trying cause I didn't want to fail. I think spending significant time offline really does force you to look at yourself and come face to face with the truth;some of it good some of it bad. So when I went back to RUclips I felt okay with it. You did great Taz I'm proud of you

And it really started affecting my mental health. Cause i actually believed that i wasn't good enough. But i also really wanted to make it. So i was torn between hating myself for being a slacker and pitying myself for my bad mental state. It eventually got too much and i had to have that deep talk with myself too. I realized that it's ok not to know exactly what you want and what your future will look like at 20 years old, but i still struggle. But to be really honest, if you were able to figure out you were sabotaging yourself in two weeks, you must be really smart and therefore totally worthy of studying engineering. 1DirectionJB yeah, but a few hours especially at night is just really not healthy because it interferes with your sleeping. Basically you might not sleep as tightly and still feel tired in the morning. btw I'm not saying I live by this either, but I try 😅

I lazily sit on my ass all day. Everyday there would be that tiny motivation to go meditate, yoga, sing, dance, and do other stuff then go on my phone all day but I just can't do it nowadays. Edit: yeah, I really should do something tom reading this.
It's not lame. I have sickle cell disease and depression comes with that. When I'm feeling down and in pain I listen to BTS. Watching their videos might not do much for the pain besides keeping me from focusing on it but it does wonders for my depression. A lot of people listen/watch BTS or other music to help them get through trying times. You are not alone, stay strong. 💜

As i have been struggling with anxiety and depression for quite a while now i will have to agree that social media plays such a critical role in keeping us busy and distracted, as much as people criticise for being "distracting" and while it can be, ya'll have to agree that when you're feeling down, some funny cat videos might pop in your timeline on facebook that would cheer you up in a second, or a really funny meme could make your day on your instafeed. All im saying is, i relate to her alot. 💕
There’s this app for iPhone called Moment where you can check on how much time you spend on your phone, which really helps if you want to reduce your screen time. 😄 Before using the app I’ve always thought that I was on my phone for a total of probably 5 hours max in a day but the result shocked me. Turns out I actually spent 10 hours a day on average. I’ve definitely got a problem.😂

Literally last Thursday I got a concussion (grade 1, really minor it’s okay) and I couldn’t go on any electronics until Sunday. Of course I went on my phone occasionally to see if anything super super important happened or I got texted something super important, but generally I stayed off of it. What did I do? Well at first I on,t took naps. I would sleep for the entire evening (fun fact on Friday I went to sleep at about 3 pm, woke up at about 6, and thought it was 6 am so I was baffled (the lights were off, it was dark, and everyone who was in the house was asleep so it was a fine assumption)), and when I wouldn’t sleep, I’d just find things around my house and start doing stuff with them (book=read, decorations=decorate, etc.). I also started learning a piano piece, so my piano saw a lot of love. It’s kind of weird being able to be on my phone constantly, I kinda just want to go back to how things were before. Welp, anyways it’s late for me, good night taz.

I just want to say that I totally relate to how you are describing your dealings with anxiety -- I use social media and smother myself in distractions to help if I'm in a bad place. I feel messed up at times and forget that there are others like me. Thank you for posting this because it reminds me (and people like us) that there are so many others out there who feel similar ways. Even though our attitudes can be really sunny and happy, we feel slightly broken inside. Thank you. I think you're truly amazing.

nearing the end of the video i just wanted to hug her tight. As i have been struggling with anxiety and depression for quite a while now i will have to agree that social media plays such a critical role in keeping us busy and distracted, as much as people criticise for being "distracting" and while it can be, ya'll have to agree that when you're feeling down, some funny cat videos might pop in your timeline on facebook that would cheer you up in a second, or a really funny meme could make your day on your instafeed. All im saying is, i relate to her alot. 💕
There’s this app for iPhone called Moment where you can check on how much time you spend on your phone, which really helps if you want to reduce your screen time. 😄 Before using the app I’ve always thought that I was on my phone for a total of probably 5 hours max in a day but the result shocked me. Turns out I actually spent 10 hours a day on average. I’ve definitely got a problem.😂

This was a really good video. :D I'm thinking about trying something like this too because I know I spend too much time on RUclips. Also, when you were talking about BTS and how their videos made you happy and kept you from thinking about the things that made you feel bad, I really related to you because their music and the behind the scenes content did the same for me. It kinda makes you wonder what they do to distract themselves when they feel down. Anyway, just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed your content and your beautiful personality. Literally last Thursday I got a concussion (grade 1, really minor it’s okay) and I couldn’t go on any electronics until Sunday. Of course I went on my phone occasionally to see if anything super super important happened or I got texted something super important, but generally I stayed off of it. What did I do? Well at first I on,t took naps. I would sleep for the entire evening (fun fact on Friday I went to sleep at about 3 pm, woke up at about 6, and thought it was 6 am so I was baffled (the lights were off, it was dark, and everyone who was in the house was asleep so it was a fine assumption)), and when I wouldn’t sleep, I’d just find things around my house and start doing stuff with them (book=read, decorations=decorate, etc.). I also started learning a piano piece, so my piano saw a lot of love. It’s kind of weird being able to be on my phone constantly, I kinda just want to go back to how things were before. Welp, anyways it’s late for me, good night taz.
