Insomnium will only get better. That is fact.
Their lyrics are simply amazing,the beauty of which will never be able to fit in 500 characters. They are never afraid to try new stuff,hence the clean vocals,something i never thought Insomnium will ever use. And there they are,fitting them perfectly with the rest of the song.
Their instrumental work is flawless as always,creating that beautiful atmosphere we have all come to love.
Dare i say,Insomnium is underrated.

Just unbelievable, don't know how they do this, but every album they make is pure epicness
Insomnium does what very little other bands can do. They can be heavy and melodic and have real emotion in their play. People who view metal as just screaming have obviously not heard the masterpieces by Insomnium. For some reason this song almost makes me cry, it is just so beautiful.

I've listened to ALOT of music in my days... Started with pop then techno, hip-hop and so on but then stopped at metal... And here shall i forever stay with Insomnium as my number one favorite.. I mean holy shit they are good. Their songs are just simply... Amezing..

I wont make cliched comments about the dislike button..I will however say that Insomnium is synonymous with perfection..They have never constructed any one song of poor quality. Everything they make conveys their being, which illuminates the world with their musical excellence.. So I say thank you to Insomnium for creating material that not only reflects some of what I feel, but for getting me through some of these days..
This album will be mine. Insomnium, one of the very first MDM bands I listened to and I still listen to this very day. These guys, no matter if they use 100% clean vocals, will never cease to amaze me.

alot of people say they dont like the vocals but there unique and i love it the vocals could play in any band and i could pick him out its hard to do that in bands

Insomnium are so good they actually make it harder for me to like other similar metal bands.
It's like when I found Meshuggah 20 years ago. On the rythmic side there's just no touching them.
These guys are the melodic side. And as a fan of epic movie music, this just falls right into my ballpark.
Only album I've had trouble with is Heart like a Grave. Can't really get into it. But I'll spin it from time to time and see if I'm just crazy.

As they always have been from the beginning, Insomnium is at the top of their game and will stand with the other legendary Melodeath bands like
Dark Tranquility, Nightrage, and Amon Amarth.
Insomnium has never disappointed us.

FUKIN AMAZING
I personally greatly dislike death metal screaming like this but the tune and the way the song is written is super good and complex! This is the only death metal song I like and I even happen to enjoy the screaming part somehow!
toddisawsomeable This is the first death metal I have really gotten into, but their songs are so well crafted, just a wall of sound, epic, the imagery from the lyrics and music combined is pretty intense.
To be fair this is melodeath, so quite different from death metal - it's really melodic, as the name indicates. It's easy to like melodeath and dislike death metal, there's a huge difference between, for example, Soilwork "Enemies in Fidelity" and Dying Fetus "Homicidal Retribution"!!
As to the growls, I used to dislike them too years ago when I wasn't used to them. Then I started enjoying them on some songs, and now I simply see them as a differeny type of singing. I deeply enjoy the growls in Kataklysm and Eluveitie for instance.
+toddisawsomeable metal is definitely not for everyone. i can tell why people don't like it but i do and to see someone who dislikes it say they enjoy a song always warms my heart

My brother and I have been fighting over which new song (the two pre-released songs) is better. I seriously find this one superior just because of the lyrics. Insomnium has made me tear up at lyrics but this one takes the cake. It's so damn sad.
'Unsung' is what I as fan was waiting for from fucking Insomnium; an epic track among epic tracks. We all know what references they draw on, and are inspired by. Haters will hate regardless. This, I wager, would leave Terje Bakken proud.

Cool riffs great melodies and great guitar works and drumming. Really like the growls. Yeah I have to see them when the come to the USA this fall with Epica. To not see this band is a shame. Why I never checked them out before I will never know. But they have that true Melodic death metal feel that DT and old In Flames made. So I don't know what there is to not like.

@namthiX I love your observation. I have been saying the same thing for years. No blood, no gore, no fucking brutality and no stupidity. Instead of repetition, loud drums and fast bass lines Insomnium relies on interesting chord progression, timeless acoustic passages, thoughtful melodies and haunting lyrics all wrapped up into a sophisticated song structure. Most important is the content of there music.
