Siam Icon it's something for everyone....you can have a boul of soup for 40 bath....or a supersportcar for millions so big number you can hardly read the tag. Great city be there in few weeks😊
If you're interested, this Sunday, Oct 27 from 3 pm, there will be a royal barge procession from around Rama 8 Bridge to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). The king will be offering monk robes as part of the end of the Buddhist Lent. 52 barges and 2,399 oarsmen (all Navy's I bet) w/ the main barge, the Golden Swan, being 130 yrs old bulit during King Rama 5 and finished King Rama 6. The procession is 1.28 km long. This pomp and ceremony follows an ancient protocol procedure to the last detail. It's going to be spectacular! Doesn't happen too often. Last time was during King Rama 10's coronation 4 yrs ago.
Bangkok is an epic city and adventure, endless side Sois to explore whichever area you are in. One thing though that makes me nervous is riding on the motorbike taxi without proper protective gear (especially a helmet). I realize these drivers are pros who navigate the traffic madness on a daily basis, but accidents do happen it is just a roll of the dice each time one gets on. A Thai friend of mine has a brother who is trike driver in Bangkok, and he just got into an accident a few weeks ago. Luckily nobody was seriously hurt, but if he was driving a motorbike rather than a trike seems extremely likely folks are going to the hospital. Same applies to Pattaya I realize especially the main roads and Thappraya connecting Pattaya to Jomtien. Oh well I guess life is just one giant roll of the dice ...
@@geofreypetersonofficial Oh heh I meant riding on back of motorcycle taxi without a helmet. They definitely don't drive slow! Harrowing experience sometimes. Even though they are very skilled, accidents will happen in a high traffic city like Bangkok.
@@jetpark3743 A trike is a converted motorcycle that has an enclosed area of sorts with bench seating that can accomodate 1-3 riders. You see a lot of them in Philippines and especially Thailand
