Also a person who says they don't like cats has probably never had one. I know many converts (friends and my whole family) who change their minds are getting one.
I was all ready to condemn whoever dumped kittens, but if the note is true then thank you to the people who at least took the kittens to a place they could be treated and found new homes.
Often, shelters are at or beyond capacity to take in cats/kittens. It's better that they dropped them off at at vet rather than dumping them on the street. It's still sad, but could have been much worse! And Dr. Dave will take great care of them.
Exactly my thoughts. Why all the hate? They took kittens they couldn't care for to the best place they possibly could have them taken care of. Shame the people who put sick kittens in dumpsters and back country roads, not to the Charity Veterinarians.
In Germany we have pet boxes in some places. You can give up your pet anonymously by putting it in that secure box, which automatically sends a message, and shortly after someone from animal protection will come and take care of the animal. The same thing exists for babies and child protection. It sounds horrific, but the thought behind it is that people who are too ashamed to give up their baby/animal legally often abandon them somewhere to die. So it's better to give them this anonymous option than to find the remains in dumpsters.
Whoever left Bubbles and Bliss knew they were at the right place! Those two are gorgeous!! Thanks Dr. Dave- PS: The beard looks good, gives you a bit of a "tough guy" vibe.
Oh, about 25 years ago, something similar happened to us. Went for a picnic in the local park and there were 2 litters of kittens obviously abandoned in the park. We could tell there were 2 litters, because 3 were obviously older than the other 4 and just as obviously part Siamese. People had been feeding them, but that wasn't enough. They all had upper respiratory infection, ringworm, tapeworm, ear mites, fleas, and under weight. We would set them up in a line and start dosing. They all made it, even the smallest, and we found homes for them all when they were well.
My wife and I adopted a kitten from the shelter over a year ago who looked exactly like Bubbles. The same coloration, and the same crusty gross eyes (though not quite as bad by the time we adopted him!). We had to keep putting his eye drops in for about a fortnight after we got him. Today he is a big happy fatso and we love him. So hopefully the same happy future awaits Bubbles and Bliss!
So glad they left the kitties on your doorstep instead of beside the road or someplace to suffer and die. These people knew you would love and care for them. Thank you to those people and to you, Dr Dave and your staff for your care and love of animals. These sweet babies will be okay
Poor little kittens 😟 so glad those people didn't just drive past them and helped the way they could 👍 Hopefully the rest of their lives will be good and this hardship will only be a fading memory 🙂 Lovely names btw! 😊💖
Even if it’s boring medically, it’s still a satisfying story and cute little patients 🥰 love these vids guys, thanks for bringing them back!! Would still love to see surgeries again though, really helps me understand the anatomy better
I found it surprisingly uplifting to hear the way Dr Dave spoke - though he was obviously worried and concerned for the kittens, he had a really positive tone which made me feel so much more hopeful. It was scary how quiet there were, but it was so lovely to see them playing and meowing after a few day. I’m so glad they’re on the mend now. 🐱🐱
Thank you to the person(s?) who rescued them from a sure death and THANK YOU to the vet and aides who gave these precious little babies a chance to have a happy, playful and hardy meal eating life. I LOVE KITTENS AND CATS!!!!!
So wonderfully amazing to see when they started playing, like kittens should, with one another, although their faces were still looking horrid with crusts and drainage! 2. Dr. Dave, you've had a beard for the longest time, Kari, why did you get upset with it now? LOL Thank you for all you two do for these wonderful souls.
What sweet little babies. Why didn’t you have a towel or little blanket for them to sleep on?!? Oh and I didn’t know there was a flea med you could use on kittens that small? Awesome! They are fast on their way to being healthy babies! Thanks for saving them!
Good that these people took the extra effort to make sure these guys could get some help. I don't blame them for not bringing them in themselves...assuming that they simply didn't have the funds! Vet care is so ridiculously expensive!
Bubbles and Bliss cleaned up well. Now that we're on the third or fourth variant of COVID, people are being forced back into their homes, now is the perfect time to adopt a little buddy.
Found my foster, Sugarbutt, in a tiny town while working. She was even worse than these little guys. Skeletal, eyes glued shut, just awful. We saved her eyes, although I believe she has a little issue that won't affect her too much. If only they made kitty glasses! Anyway, I fed her cat gravy from a syringe every half hour for the first two days, just to get calories in. Then, once the vet's meds started having their effects, I started her on kitten chow. To this day, my now 6 month old will scarf down a few mouthfuls of chow, then run into my arms for belly rubs. She really just wants to burp and fart, so she will feel better, and apparently, its my job to hasten that along. Once I get a gurg and phoooo, off she goes to harrass my resident cats.
@@kn3765 you know how kittens will present their butt to you when you have raised them from very young? She presents and then chirps. Its so sweet. Hence....Sugarbutt, lol.
Oh those poor sick babies, they feel so terrible. Thank you for helping and giving them a chance to get well and find a happy home. Thank you Dr. Dave.
Awwwwww I was like “that looks like my cat bubbles who passed away last February.” Then he said the kittens name and I nearly lost it! Bubbles! I would like to adopt this little guy
Bubbles and Bliss, very happy names. Thanks for the passer-bys for finding them and getting to y'all. An thank Dr. Dave and staff for doing your greatness and finding them homes. 💕🐾😺
What a great mental pick-me-up to see these 2 very sick kittens become healthy, sleek, and playful! Thanks, Dr. Dave for a wonderful job! One of my kitties is a rescue who was also in pretty bad shape when I adopted her, but it was nothing a little basic vet care and some good groceries couldn't fix. My other kitty is a show quality Maine Coon kitten, the last word in gorgeous. And what a little minx she is! Keep up the good work. I look forward to your next video. PS, glad you lost the beard!
I rescued a box of puppies once and took them to the Humane Society. I had no way of taking care of them. Some of them were already dead from the cold. I would have cared for them if I could have.
You did what you could. Giving them a fighting chance is sometimes all that is needed. I don't understand people who throw puppies out in the cold instead of dropping them off at a shelter.
Please don't take the title personally. It is mostly to draw people's attention to the video. Anyway, while it would have been nice for the finder to wait until the clinic was open to bring them in, the real "dumpers" are the people who left the kittens by the side of the road in the first place.
@@pjp9383 I absolutely agree. Didn't even realize my comment could be interpreted as criticism towards the people who dropped of the kittens. I just read "sick kittens" and couldn't read the note on my mobile phone's display. I guess I have the attention span of a fly and the title just has to say kittens to draw me in. 🤣🤣😊

Kittens are my most favorite animals in the world. I have had a lot of them. I have been finding a lot of them lately. I think we have a feral problem. They just keep showing up. If they are approchable, I take them in. I feel bad for them in the cold weather. I live in Georgia. Thank you for taking good care of these babies. They turned out beautiful in your care.
There look so much better now I'm so glad that they both survived I hope that they get adopted together also may they have many many years that are filled with love attention and adventure
Great job!! The kittens are beautiful and healthy now. Vet Ranch was the very first you tube channel I ever watched about six years ago. So glad y’all are still doing the heroic work. God bless your channel and work to save animals!❤️

So true! Lol
I'm mostly a dog person, but I love little kittens. Adult cats? Not so much - it all depends on their individual personalities.

Hi
Anytime we drove by road kill , I used to ask my mom as a kid if we could try and save them. Blows my mind that people could do this.
