I was once "lucky" enough to play with a guy who scored a goal almost exactly like that. More than that, he was good enough to do stuff like that every game. You actually felt embarrassed playing against him. He was clearly way, way too good for our level (weekend games down at the local fields) and he did actually get trials and offers from local semi-pro clubs. Trouble was his attitude sucked. He would get trials but wouldn't be arsed turning up cos he would rather be down at the pub or smoking weed on the beach, and when he did turn up he'd get in fights, punch another player, or argue with the coach if asked to do something he didn't want to do. He'd then turn up to our next game, slagging them off, insisting it was their loss, he was too good for them and they couldn't see it, and then proceed to beast us. Was a somewhat nice guy but kinda glad when he stopped showing up. Last I heard he was still jobless, never finished his degree, went through like three girlfriends in a year. Tells you everything about mentality I guess.
The fact he came on right at the end, we’d not had a sniff and were 1-0 down, scored that worldie and set up the winner in the 97th minute with a ridiculous through ball. One of the best 10 minute cameos I’ve ever seen.

Glad someone mentioned this goal. The technicality and clean execution was sublime. Controlling that ball as well as he did mid stride was magic.
