The greatest win in geathje's career was dethroning tony ferguson in an upset and ruining khabib vs tony for good. But his second most important I think is the fiziev fight (especially if fiziev goes on to become a great historic 155). Because geathje fought a lot of fighters from his own generation and the previous one (which mean old), but fiziev a phenomenal talent from the new era, young in his prime and on a massive wining streak. And to school him like that is one of the biggest validation of geathje's skills. You can't say geathje won because his opponent was too old, geathje won because his skills are great. And you can't say anymore that the new generation is better that they gonna just run through the old guard either because if they can't beat (geathje, beniel, Islam, poirier ) when they got the advantage of youth on their side than, if it was prime vs prime they never had a chance.

Regardless I'll admit he's huge but remember he won the Glory LHW belt in kickboxing too so he has shown himself to still be elite and the best in the world even against guys his own size
@@masrr3678 yeah it's only fans who have an issue with people cutting a ton of weight and then ballooning before the fight. fighters hate it as well as it puts them at an unfair advantage being 15-20; pounds heavier then their opponent on fight night.
