It is theoretically possible, but I usually buy the basic electric toothbrush models without wifi to save money anyway. I once connected a Made In China air quality monitor device from Amazon to my wifi network. The next day I had a bunch of different devices suddenly joining my network that I didn’t add. I don’t know if it was a technical glitch and the same device re-joining over and over under different names, or something more malicious related to the device. But it scared me enough to change my wifi password and keep the air quality monitor offline going forward.

Got it. I will never buy a Bluetooth enabled smart toothbrush.
Don't need to anyways a "regular" electric toothbrush will clean my teeth really well.
All those gimmicks are not necessary when brushing my teeth and besides is it really necessary to hold my smartphone when brushing my teeth?
Brushing my teeth are one of very few things that's left where I don't need to use my smartphone. Just enjoy brushing my teeth plain and simple!
