  • Coast Guard Lt. Tyler Exum receives wings that belonged to his great-uncle, Herven P. Exum, a Tuskegee Airman, during a winging ceremony at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, June 23, 2023.
Exum and his father, retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Larnell B. Exum, reflect on the significance of the wings and their family’s military legacy.

This is a great piece of history and there should be many more stories told like this one by Larnell B. Exum about his son, Tyler and also the great Tuskegee Airman Herven P. Exum

We have three primary aircraft. The HC-130J Hercules, the C-27J Spartan, and the HC-144 Ocean Sentry (seen in video).

A great story indeed. Important history for all to know. Now that must have a winging ceremony for the ages. Congrats and thanks to your entire family for its service.
