I would love to see how this one spins up! You should try the opposite way sometime -- dye a braid black, then open it up and dye the roving rainbow colors. See if that gives more vibrant colors. At the very least, you'd be able to place the dye so you end up with more color and less white in the end.
It's beautiful! I wonder if you would have dyed the black braid first, then went in with the rainbow on top of the black, but unbraided, if it would have been brighter????
from Gerry- Great idea! If you had a tighter braid, there would be less black in case that is what you are looking for. I think I will try this. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

I’d love to see this spun up

at 16min... All I can see is my Kenough sweatshirt. LOVE IT :D (now to see part 2 of the process!)
Love it!
So pretty! And I just learned that bananas glow blue under a black light! I thought of you and your enthusiasm with black light!

It might have been brighter if I could control the neon placement a bit more.
Lovely fiber, Rebecca 🧶💚
Lovely!!
Thank you!!!
Gorgeous - makes me wish I was a spinner, but I do not have room for another fibre craft!! 😂
A drop spindle doesn't take up much space... just saying

Love all the unspun fiber videos.
Awe, thank you!
I love how the Caribbean blue blends with the yellow and pink.
It is a stunning blue
That is beautiful, but I think I would like the look of the neon and the black dyed separately and spun together.
I think I would like that contrast a lot, too. I could do more to add resist to try this again, though.
Was there some reason that you did not consider spitting the neon dyed roving into two equal lengths and overdyeing one dry and the other wet?
How do you get a shiny, luster look in yarn dye.
You start with a yarn that has some shine in it already. A silk blend, a dyarn that has stellina or lurex in it.
What is faux cashmere? Alpaca?😊🧐🤔
