As a Thai-American who is also thinking to adopt, thank you family Metz for not giving up when bureaucracy was tough and took time (unlike that other family who withdraw their adoption as they couldn't post on social media for a year 🫤). How you guys did it was insanely cute - heart stickers everywhere! It just shows how much you just cannot hide your happiness and excitement you have for Theo. He's growing up beautifully because of you.
I totally agree with the previous comment about the hotel being a resort of sorts. Wow, that is just beautiful. What a way to spend your quarantine. No one room place for you guys. I am so happy for you and it’s been a long time but God is making things come to pass.

I have been in the hospital again for the last few days. I have spent so much time praying and waiting for updates. I am so excited for you both. I will keep,praying until you are home (and then after that) with your beautiful son. I saw his picture at the Word of Life Hudson FL concert and he is beautiful. I pray that he will easily learn to meld with you and know that God has sent you to be his forevermore parents. May any fears that he might feel quickly dissipate as your gentle spirit calms him the moment your eyes lock and your love pours over him as new parent sees, holds, and recognizes the smell of their child for the very first time. Thailand has a place in my heart as I had an uncle and aunt who were missionaries there from about 1953 to 1973. They were in NE Thailand. Seems like a beautiful hotel to be staying at. I am curious, who arranged the quarantine hotel, Thai government, adoption agency, or ?? Seeing you hold hands when you prayed brought back sweet memories. My husband and I always did that. Your journey has been so inspiring to me. I have felt, for years, that I had incredibly strong faith. However, to watch what both of you are doing - it is inspiring, and I have so many questions. But, I think of how I would be. Ali g that trip. My husband and I would be wearing haz-mat suits and latex gloves, and we would be double-masked and have a face shield. Our haz-mat suits would have signs hanging on them, saying “give us space - our international adoption is in process, and we just be well.” But you two - you were at concerts and then “tried” to stay home as much as possible to lower your risk. You didn’t wear gloves or double mask, and in fact, you pulled your masks down for some of the filming. You had such faith that God would take care of you. I would have that faith, too, but I would not be as relaxed and at ease as you are. This has been thought-provoking for me and amazing to watch. Can’t wait for the next installments!

Our haz-mat suits would have signs hanging on them, saying “give us space - our international adoption is in process, and we just be well.” But you two - you were at concerts and then “tried” to stay home as much as possible to lower your risk. You didn’t wear gloves or double mask, and in fact, you pulled your masks down for some of the filming. You had such faith that God would take care of you. I would have that faith, too, but I would not be as relaxed and at ease as you are. This has been thought-provoking for me and amazing to watch. Can’t wait for the next installments!
