Honestly I don’t watch RUclipsrs much … but I for some reason love these guys and don’t even read the title I just click when I see a new vid 😂

I absolutely love the whole using a heating pad in the bassinet trick. That is something I never thought of when I had babies. So smart!!
As an older mom (my kids are teens and an adult), I physically could not breastfeed any of them because I just wouldn't produce enough if any. I wanted to share in case anyone here is suffering from that and feeling bad about themselves. Please don't, you aren't alone.

I’m sure everyone is different but I definitely stopped wearing the breast pads after 3 months ish. They are a bit of a faff! You stop leaking milk when your body fully adjusts to the routine, unless your baby’s feeding needs change dramatically overnight or you go a super long time without feeding for some reason. Glad the fog is lifting. You’re doing brilliantly 😊❤x

That helps me a lot, thank you! I might do some trial days without them to see how I go because you're right! They're just an extra thing to worry about and I don't love how they look under some clothes!

First time mama here with a little one that’s 7 months! I started pumping twice a day (after morning feed and after nighttime feed) and just by doing that, I’ve built a huge stash of frozen milk. Not saying you have to but twice a day is an easy enough commitment and gives you peace of mind if you need to leave the house for a while or want to take a trip ❤

For anyone in the journey watching this - I had 4 embryo transfers (using 5 embryos up) to get my son. It was SO hard but of course so worth it in the end. I had another son 15 mo. later :)

Oh my gosh 😭 so many things I want to say but first when you talked about body image and infertility I criedddddd at work 😩❤️ you put into words what I didn’t know I was struggling with. I didn’t end up needing ivf but my body image has always been negative and going through infertility definitely didn’t help! Getting pregnant finally was definitely a very proud moment 😭 I’ve been cheering you on since before you started Ivf and i just had my baby 10 months ago ! I’m sooo incredibly happy that you’re finally getting to experience being a mom , you’re doing an absolutely AMAZING job ! I’m so sorry for your embryo loss. I can only imagine it’s similar to very early miscarriage or chemical miscarriage 🥺❤️🌈in all these situations we know that an egg and sperm had met and created life so a life was lost and grieving makes so much sense ❤️ cant wait to see how much Annie develops over the next few months! So many big changes coming ! It’s going be a fun ride with parenting the next 6-10 months!🎉

Stopped the breast pads when milk was regulating more. I rarely wore them at night away, found them annoying mostly.
Yesss to the Huckleberry sweet spot, 100% worth the money to not do mental math as wake windows stretch and sooo helpful when going through transitions of dropping a nap.
Motherhood looks so good on you Mack. You and Jack are killing it and have such fun stages ahead! I can’t believe my girl is crawling everywhere now, sitting in her own and soon will be pulling up.

I can't relate to having a baby but I do definitely relate to body image. I'm always critical about my body so I know where you're coming from.
Sending all the love to you, Jack and Annie ❤❤❤

I started pumping about 6-8 weeks postpartum because I knew she would have to go to daycare after maternity (8 months) and wanted to have a good stash. But for 6 months I only did 1 pump, after the morning feed. I get like 4 ounces a pump and I have a freezer full of milk now that I’m back full time at work. It was hard to do at first but it started to become routine and it has taken a lot of pressure off me now while she is at daycare to be pumping all day. Now I pump 2-3 times a day to just keep up supply with my mommy cozy M5 wireless pump. Love it

Another great video! I don’t watch anyone on RUclips routinely except you. I relate so much to your thoughts and vibe. Thank you so much! Due in April after 3 egg retrievals and 4 embryo transfers

I never stopped wearing the pads bc I'd get random let downs and be racing for something to avoid a mess.
This is my 2nd breastfeeding journey and since I'm working at home, I'm not pumping either and i love it! If i need to pump, the plan is to use the haaka on the other side when she's nursing.
    Huggies ftw!
Precious Little Sleep is a great book that saved me!

I couldn’t agree more about the silverettes!! I also LOVE the huckleberry app, we pay a little extra for the Sweet Spot feature which has helped take so much stress off of when she should nap and the time when she’ll go down the easiest! Another wonderful video Mac 💕

How is your laundry situation going out of curiosity? Less than you expected, more? Speaking of diapers we loved huggies up until our baby started rolling and grabing their toes. We have switched to Rascal and friends and the size 3 diapers have been a game changer! The change in fit was what we needed for our more active baby.

I exclusively breastfeed (this is my third baby) and I pump for 10 minutes after all but one of her feeds. I have a wearable pump so I just throw it in my bra and go about my life for those 10 minutes. I wait 20-30 minutes after a feed before pumping. I have an entire freezer (extra fridge in our garage) full of frozen milk. Baby is four months old. She also gets a bottle of breast milk every night before bed so I know exactly how much she is getting. I also love the little break it does give me.

After a few months of breastfeeding your supply will regulate and you don’t leak anymore. So no you won’t need the pads forever!

To the new mamas with formula reflux babies who won’t sleep on their backs/in their bassinet - CHANGE YOUR MILK. Get a starch-based anti reflux milk, preferably organic, and within a week you r life will change. At least it did for me

Also seek medical advice. You can keep them more upright when feeding to help and put something like a towel underneath the cot mattress to lift is slightly so their head is lifted slightly too.

@@powderandpaint14unfortunately medical advice failed me. I was told by multiple people that ‘it will just go away with time’ 😢 but yes, it’s still important to ask

Something I wish I knew before the first weeks after birth is don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself and your baby. Hospitals, especially in socialist systems, want you out of the door as soon as possible. My hospital let me go home before baby was back at his birth weight or at least well on the way back towards it - leading to 10 days of weight loss post birth and a honestly traumatic first few weeks for both me and baby. It can also take seeing 10 different doctors or midwives before you start to unlock answers. I wish I had put my foot down and not let them discharge me before baby was thriving.

If your working then you need to train the baby to take a bottle as soon as possible. If you’re not working it doesn’t matter. After a few months of only being fed by mom they don’t want a bottle.
