Your so close now! I've loved watching your journey too motherhood whilst I was pregnant too. My baby boy is almost 6 weeks now and it goes soo fast! For your hospital bag an insulated cup with a straw. I wouldnt have been able to drink from a cup or bottle. I kept mine next to my head so as soon as I finished with gas and air before the next contraction I could quickly have a cold drink. Also I packed dextrose energy tablets, I packed so many snacks but honestly in labour I couldn't think of anything worse than eating so having those did help give me a boost. Adult nappies, so much easier than sanitary pads & a long charging cable. I didnt really use much else out of my bag but those were essential for me. Continue to take all the photos and videos of your belly even after a sometimes difficult pregnancy I cry looking back at my bump photos I miss it soooo much! So excited to watch the rest of your pregnancy & then you become a mummy, it really is the greatest blessing. It still dosnt feel real to me yet. Its super surreal when someone holds him and says 'let's give you back to mummy' it takes me a second to remember oh wait I'm his mummy 🥰 You have the best adventure of your life just about to start and I cant wait too follow along with you. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy x
What I actually used out of my bag, big baggy t shirt, I wore until I had an epidural then I had a hospital gown, flip flops for walking around, long charger, very loose pyjama bottoms, vest top, shower gel, face wash, flannel, dry shampoo, roll on deodorant, insulated cup, adult nappies, dextrose energy tablets. I honestly packed soo much stuff and I didnt use it but I was home 18 hours after birth so I wasn't in there long at all. My midwife changed babys first poo nappy as I had my catheter taken out and was allowed to get up for a wee and shower she used the water wipes I packed and honestly no judgement what so ever! I think those days have mostly gone now. If someone wants to judge you anyway that's on them not you, you have to do what's best for you and to be honest I could not imagine anything worse than chaging babies nappy needing to get up and get water from somewhere i was on a ward and there's enough going on and crying babies without adding finding water to add into the mix too x
Thank you so much, that’s all really helpful! My bottle is one of those really big ones with a straw so I thought that would be ok as it’s not one I have to swig backwards? It’s going SO fast, I can’t believe how quickly it’s gone! Crazy to think I’m full term in 2.5 weeks now! Xx
