Thank you for this! Love seeing my family in your videos :)
We moved to Fort Nelson in 1969 and then to the interior in1972. The few years in Fort Nelson were fantastic for outdoor activities. My Dad sold skidoos and arctic cats out of our backyard there. Rendezvous days were so much fun. I remember going in the skidoo races at 9 years old
The Dominion day parade was fantastic i believe my 2 sisters brother and I won first prize in 1970. So enjoying your channel. Thank you so kindly.
Good stuffs.
Great reel..I'd love to see an older reel of the Ft. Nelson Rendezvous days. 😊
What a coincidence; I just got back to the Okanagan from Alaska, via Fort Nelson just 3 days ago. I'll be heading back up that way in 2 week's time. I'll pay careful attention to see if any of those businesses with the floats are still around.
perry linton pilot of helio courier at Carcajou lake machenzie mountains between Norman wells an Ross river
fishing is at smith river falls which is 10 or 20 miles north ofbc yukon border just past Liard hot springs
the pilot was probably Jimmy Anderson....Crazy Man !!
I never heard that Jimmy Anderson flew a Helio Courier. The plane Jimmy flew was a Super Cub and owned by Ed McCloud of Derrick Machinery.
I’m going to take a wild guess. Airstrip may have been at the base of Terminus Mountain.
Even a video of a Helio Courier doing what it does best.
