Look 👀 at you. Holding up the mini design board in one hand while picking up papers with the other. So proud of how hard you have worked.
I love a cute Churn Dash! Adorable! Thank you for sharing.
Churn Dash is my favorite square, I have a quilt my grandmother made using my grandfathers old shirts, I decided I need to make one of my own in honer of my grandmother
We had a "driveway" 1/2 mile from home to bus stop. 65 years ago, Dad always had a working dog. At that time it was a border collie. That dog would meet us every day at the bus stop. It was too far for her to go that distance when she heard the bus. She must have had a built-in clock. We just couldn't believe it! We had protection as we walked home.
Pat you've done a great service creating the "Quilt Tops for Charity" list. Genius!
thank you! i hope it helps people connect
I use my scraps or fabrics I no longer care for to make smaller quilts for our local police & state police department. I use batting in winter and flannel in the summer. Kids are caught up in so many bad situations in traffic stops. They say they help in comforting children
We had a “driveway” that was ¼ mile long. It was gravel, and I remember the sound of it crunching under our feet. We walked it everyday to catch the school bus or get the mail. We rode our bikes up and down it with our dogs following along, or pulled our younger siblings in a wagon. Cherished memories.
We also had a gravel driveway and the crunching of feet in travel reminds me of home and visitors. Living in the country, the night sounds of peepers, bullfrogs, whiperwills and all other night sounds always makes me long for home!🐦🐸
I like the dot addition. It’s a nice something different.
Your really making me want to make churn dash blocks with dots. AND, I can see those little blue/white checkerboard strips going with them to make a super cute country scrappy quilt. My mind has way more idea's then I will ever have time. LOL
Thanks for adding the page regarding where to donate quilt tops. I will be sharing this with my quilt guild.
My family moved around a lot, so home is my grandparent's farm. The mulberry trees, cattle and chickens.
I think I will make a Minnie turn dash for my Quilters Cottage. Making sure my closline has all my favorites.
I live in Memphis and we have several places to donate charity quilts. They are all welcome. I love to play with the scraps and see what happens.
To this day the driveway is my favorite sound. They have come g.j ome. Or the sound of the tea kettle whistling.
The churn dash block is my favorite too!
I am in San Diego!! You came on at: 4 am pst!!!!
Thank you for showing where sashing sizes are again. I needed that.
I learned so much about churn dash. This was so delightful.
Excited to make this block.
❤❤❤
We lived in a city, and walked on sidewalks to walk to school. So just sounds of cars.
Got my book stand a couple of weeks ago. I like to use magnets to hold my initial guide block or pattern.
There's one in Louisville Ky. I'll have to retrieve the official name
Hi Pat, the link to your daily videos on I love to quilt has gone missing. This is the way I find you everyday. Diana in uk
the video is in today's post, and my channel is linked to from the banner at www.ilovetomakequilts.com/ if you would screen shot where it is missing and mail that to me at pat@patsloan.com
24 blocks made and all the other just need one or two strips and the corners!
Is it Florida quilt you showed us or is it called something else? It’s the one you showed that you have the green binding cut to put on it?
Hoping you smart quilter's can help me out, how do you know if a fabric is a reproduction ? Looking to make hubby a sampler quilt. :]
send me an email at pat@patsloan.com and i'll link you to some
Please reference "Florida " fabric,
Pat, can you talk a little bit more about sashing? The uses, when to use it, I hear a lot of it in fb, but Im new to that concept. Thank you in advanced
I'm working on finishing UFO'S. I want to do home is someday. I need to print it out but I don't have a printer. I usually go to the public library but due to covid our library service of using the computer is closed. Will home is always be available on your site or will it go away? Thank you! Have a blessed day.
