It's a no skip album 100%, And I've been playing it on repeat 😂 The only gripe I have is I wish some of the songs were just a little longer. My brain is annoying and doesn't count anything under 3 minutes as a "full" song for some reason 😂
I mean it's still a good album in general but not up to Exo's standard, I wouldn't let it sit on the same table as DMUMT, Obsession, The War or Universe. And imo Ex'act and Exodus are comfortably better as well
D.O ate the hell out of the Cream Soda choreo. MVP for me, for sure🙌🏽🏆. Also, for EXO to be this strong so consistently is downright insane. Everyone did so well, for the whole album. LOVED YOUR REACTION 😊
Thank you for bringing Sylvia. I loved the mv and the dp. I bet the dp will be as popular as The Eve dp or Monster. I also think it's one of their best choreos, like Electric Kiss or Oh la la la. Now that Kai's enlisted, they all suddenly turned into main dancers and i LOVE it, the energy, the charisma, them taking turns in the center being on par with Kai's usual appeal... beautiful! And I'm sure they left the parts, where he sings, unfilled, just like walking, on purpose, when he performs it later, he'll be driving us crazy with his moves as he sings this on stage. And in the MV they also left these parts with general shots and the burning heart... My boy would pour all his heart out in the MV and DP 😢. My favorite of the album is Cinderella (though you didn't ask😅) and I love that Kai and Xiumin have so many lines and their voices are so prominent and growing in presence

And now I'm on listen 100 actually gobsmacked by how addictive this song is. And then the choreo video came out and just destroyed me. Unreal. And on the album, you are SPOT ON about the production faults. I overall like the album, but there are like 3 songs that had the intro been more in line with the rest of the song, I would've downright lovedddd. Where it stands, they just feel a bit disjointed.
I will 100% blame SM for the album production "failures". One of the producers even said (sorry, I don't remember his name right now) that they "forgot" to add drums in Cinderella, like wtf

I usually really like Dem Jointz spread of work regardless of the style and appreciate his forward decisions and ability to consistently be both out the box but maintaining the core of his production throughout, Regret It included.

So to point out the chords used in the chorus of Regret It, from what I could hear with headphones, it's ii - IV - iv - vi Though I agree it's very difficult to hear at first due to how much is just going on within the instrumental
Hey man, I love your reaction and I feel like you're a genuine person and I would recommend an epic live video of EXO performing "drop that" in Japan, which is a very difficult song but they did a very good rap with three high notes that are incredible if you have the time Please take a few minutes to search this video and I promise you won't be disappointed looking forward to your response thank you very much
When I first heard the song it felt like something was missing; the song felt kind of plain? The chorus had no impact! It just felt like an extended pre-chorus (it wasn’t distinct). I’m not saying every song has to be experimental & new (EXO’s already given us that), but this song (to me) lacks EXO’s uniqueness, it just sounds very generic? (Like any group could have sung it - Unlike obsession or others which sound like only EXO could sing it/ do that concept). However, as the EXO members are more mature now, I can appreciate the mature sound/ concept that the song was trying to give. Including how it sticks to EXO’s original r&b style (especially the vocals).
