    Great vid and info, we went 33 with a lift for that ease and the spare tire space.

    Great setup. Looking to do the same with an SPC and an upgrade to 37’s. It’s incredible how offset plays such a big influence. I have a 2012 Tundra currently with the 5100’s, on the middle setting factory springs with no bmc, running a 35 with 17x9 FN Six Shooter in a +25. No rub. Just had to move the fender well forward.

    • @1stgenoffroad

      @@1stgenoffroad it totally is. How are you liking the ride with the new springs and 5100’s? I find things to be somewhat firm with the stock springs and 10 ply’s.

    I’m having a hard time deciding what wheel to go with.
    I bought our sequoia for the wife and kids but she gave me the ok to lift it and bigger tires because she’s 6ft and I’m 6’5. I’m leaning towards method. Does anyone make a hidden winch mount for these things? She doesn’t want it to be a manly truck so no off-road bumpers but I still want a winch because ya never know.

  • @terryhundley8992

    How would this setup do with offroad bumpers and a winch?

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  10 месяцев назад +1

      I would consider something a little more stiff and with a bigger center piston rod like the Dobinsons IMS.

  • @MrTherooster

    Did you have lean on the driver side ? If so I guess add spacers on the driver front and driver rear ?

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  4 месяца назад

      We didn't have a lean. Even on both sides. If you do end up with a lean, it would need a 1/4" spacer on the front driver's side. In the rear, you can either adjust the ride height of the airbags on the leaning side to ride slightly higher (if you have the platinum airbags) or add a small spring spacer (if you have rear springs).

      How about 35's on a 1st Gen Tundra

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  Год назад +3

      3" of lift. -12 or more offset. SPC upper control arms. Remove the mud flaps. Hammer in the pinch weld. Maybe more trimming.

  • @robertporchile
    @robertporchile 8 месяцев назад

    got 35's with the tandem spacers. Had a couple alignment shops tell me the rear is max out and could not get the toe and camber within spec. Have you seen this before? do you think my lower control arms are defective to where they're not pushing out the wheel like they should?

    • @1stgenoffroad

    I've got a 2013 Limited and am looking at your Dobinsons IMS 2.5" kit with SPC UCAs. Think I'd need a diff drop? Looking to put 34s on stock 18" wheels maybe with 1" wheel spacers. Looking for as narrow as I can get for the tires, 11" maybe. Also, would a 34 fit in the spare spot?

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  Год назад +2

      I didn't use a diff drop and the boots are doing great. I'm not sure about the spare tire.

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  10 месяцев назад +1

      You won't get a ton of rear axle travel, but it will do great on the highway.

    Was any trimming done in the rear?

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  Год назад

      Good question. And I should have addressed that in the video. Besides the lift, no trimming or anything else was necessary to fit these wheels and tires for the rear.

    To anyone who went to 35's on a 2gen Sequoia - Did you regear? What are your thoughts on regearing if you didn't?

    • @1stgenoffroad
      @1stgenoffroad  Год назад +1

      I didn't regear. I felt like if I wanted to do a body mount chop, I would run 37s. If I ran 37s, I would regear. If I regeared, I would use the opportunity to add front and rear lockers. So until I'm ready to do all that, I'll stock with 35s and factory gears. The truck does great with factory gears and 35s. You will lose a little torque, but not enough to bother me. I still tow a trailer with no issues.
