@@TheTroutGuy1 I used chicken liver and beef liver for catfish - would you be willing to try beef liver for trout and make a video? I also used to drain the blood from the beef liver container and refill it with the chicken liver blood. Let us soak in the fridge a couple of days. Beef liver stays on the hook much better
That's awesome buddy I have never heard of anyone using chicken livers for trout. But the proofs in the pudding you proved that it works. Thanks for the great video.
I'd be curious if beef liver works the same, we used it alot here in Canada for catching smelts and small salt water varieties of fish, Caplan etc .. never tried it on trout but going to have to give chicken liver a shot and figured why not beef liver ... Another guy told me chicken heart works good also and stays on the hook REAL good.
I bet they would work! I’ve also heard about chicken heart. Let me know if you try it! Some people used shiner heads and had caught big browns! Maybe give it a go!
Calves Liver works too,
Might have to give it a try! I heard trout like bacon also? Ever heard of that?
@@TheTroutGuy1 yes

Thanks bro. Just gotta get the right set up, ( hook size and etc. ) 🎣

Thanks! I heard cut bait is pretty good for big browns!

@@zivetor yes I can, I’ll have to wait until delayed harvest season is over on the rivers I fish. Because you can’t use bait. It’ll be a month or so 😊
@@TheTroutGuy1 awesome- look forward to seeing the results

Impressive. I see the livers and hooks, but what kind of rig are you using?
Probably not the correct rig for chicken liver. But I just ran the hook about 10 inches below the split shot.
@@TheTroutGuy1 Understood, very traditional rig. But obviously very effective. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
@@catboyzee you got it! Thanks for watching
We've got muskie in the Susquhanna that can't resist chicken liver
