-no obvious overpowerd shit -no random removal of half the fun of the character -no nerf to the ground for no reason -actual good changes that bring fun a high level play without changing power level too much Wait arcsys did actually cook with this one
No disrespect to Sol mains, but I am happy to see him not destroying everyone off of every interaction. As for I-no, I am super happy to see HCL get a massive buff. Her pressure and combos are much much scarier now. What a difference 3 years in this game has had on these 2 characters alone.
The overall damage is very nice, what I'm actually surprised is this good is the low profile on STBT (236S/H), some of those interaction would have resolved in a counter on ino but now she passes right below them. Also the health change, not the biggest but still significant. Daru as always knows no limit, just anger (and mixups)
As someone whose picking up Sol after a long hiatus, no offense taken from me. It feels like a lot of his "shenanigans" were toned down. I actually prefer the change for NRV as now his random hits with normals at some distances feels more consistent, and the introduction of clean hits on fafnir add some versatility to his combos. I do wonder if the nerf to 6P as an anti-air option also helped I-No, though I'd have to defer to I-no players to make that determination.
7:00 any normal person, after whiffing their super and being presented with a fireball, would run up and block. Tatuma decided to get the full worth of his $60 game by jumping the fuck over it and bringing the bandit.
I’m wondering, how many characters have had a mostly positive reception from their player base regarding the new season changes? I-no must be one of them, with her wealth of fun new hcl/charged dive routes and the stroke hurtbox FINALLY being fixed. A lot of other characters though, have been met with either disappointment or a very polarizing response.
I'm glad not gonna lie, every time they give good shit to ino they fucking nerf it, some are very mad about the top character getting nuked tbh fck them 4 or 5 years of them being crazy was not enough for them
chipp player here, gotta love the rope. it made a lot of his old routes either way harder or completely inaccessible but what we get it in return is more fun, looks way cooler, and thankfully, does more damage
I-no combos look so fake this patch, man, they’re so goddamn cool. I hope we start seeing more success from this character outside of Daru, GOAT tho he may be
I think strive is going in a really good direction from the look of it. Hopefully the next couple patches work to even out some of the stronger and weaker characters and get them into where they should be.
If you use the English voices, Sol should no longer say “crush” when using fafnir, it’s false advertising now since it no longer guard crushes. Thanks for making my guy a liar ARC…
Hmm bad news. i found that after counter move that connect to 5H. said 5H can connect easier to clean hit Fafnir. thus can be cath to 5S. and before bad new another bad news. i found out move after clean hit vocanic viper got amplify, super etc and wall break dmg to. so try to get clean hit fafnir connect to 5S and clean hit VP then super. u get almost 300dmg. clean hit fafnir easier to catch on earlier string combo. and the location to aim is middle body straight to the gut. It a buff. usualy it just far 5S
Never understood how exactly ino is bad. Her goal is to get in one (1) time and mix you to death, except she has 3 neutral skips in her kit and and now converts every wrong guess into a coast to coast HKD wallbreak. Where’s the weakness??
Ino main here: 1) Good I-no mains can kill you in about 2-3 mixes. Ino Gods like Daru who can string insane wall to walls and kill you with 1 good mix out of basically anything are rare. 2) All her neutral skips are highly commital once your in your in; if you wiff or enemy blocks prepare to lose half your health. 2.1) She has generally lower side of health, and aside from reversal super she doesn't have a "get away from me move" during pressure/close range 3) She has somewhat clunky movement, and it's hard for some people to get used to her at the start; making her less popular when people first pick her up. 4) At least how I play Ino, I am a bloody con-artist, my moves seem scary, my strings seem unblockable, but it is all an illusion-- Ino is a huge knowledge check and once you get used to how an Ino approaches (usually Ino's have 1-3 combo paths they focus on) you can read it and then she blows up. 5) She has/had terrible matches before (don't know in this patch) really oppressive soul-crushing stuff (eg. Happy Chaos, Slayer, Baiken, Nago)

Glad to see its not just me that feels completely lost in neutral after this patch, even the high level sol's are struggling.

6:41 what was that 😂
Sol state is just sad he lost most of his prime moves his gameplan now is just to wait for tension to do 260 damage combo
