The Halibut king is back. You were fighting some big rollers. The strike on that fish was boom and hooked. As big of one as anyone could ask for. You seem to be able to ride well on that particular yak even in the big rollers. Don't want to have anymore spills in that cold water for sure. Thanks Adam for the ride along. 👍👍

Drop your sabiki really slow. They bite 90% of the time on the drop. You'll do much better catching bait like that. Don't have to jig it or anything. Just let it drop really slow. Try it out. ❤

I've caught California halibut in the bay at Coos bay, Oregon. I've heard that is the farthest they run up north.

I live in Oregon and they do catch California Halibut out of Brookings, Oregon, but that is as far north as I have heard of them.
