    I definitely didn't try for my lighting to look like trash but I succeeded in my lighting looking like trash.
    I've been making videos since 2014 and I still don't know what I'm doing so ENJOY THE VIDEOOOO lol

    whoah what that really bigfoot?
    also some metalic paint goes well together with horns even if it used only very finely or only in some small details, I made them with many different types of paint, first some normal then some detail lines(like a fractal storm/roots/lightning/magic/energy or any such things, they glow to since I added in some glow in the dark) in metalic blue purpelish and silverish, also some slight silverlike metalic glow over the general struture.
    in this case I did coat it using nail polish(actually a custom half diy version to give it some special behaviour). I was afraid of it affecting the glow and metalic like things a lot but it didn't really affect it, but it probably added some overall matte glow, but since it already had lots of forms of glow that I didn't really notice.
    needed them to be water proof(rain and such) yet I used acrylic paint and I don't trust that fully despite them saying it is waterproof, also needed it sand, leaf, branch and pine needle proof(aka. forrest proof)
    also one thing you can try which as long as it doesn't affect your speciffic paint or materials is to add some keratin spray(the same stuff used in hair) it is also what hair and horns typically are largely made of, adding that is more of energy like thing kind of makes them feel more real while wearing them instead of like foam or plastic.

    The horns I am planning to make are small and made out of clay, but my lord, this is definitely going to be the video I use as a reference.

    Could also repeat the pattern on the back side to make it more realistic? Or have it wrap around to give it even more dimension? I’m actually doing this right now for my Alduin’s daughter cosplay I designed. I would love your advice.

    Would these work on a much smaller scale? like for a Monster High doll. They seem very lightweight, and durable! Nice job with them!

    • @ForgingSmores
      @ForgingSmores  3 года назад

      Yes! In fact with doll horns to make it a bit easier, you could grab some foam clay or that oven bake clay (can't remember the specific name of it right now) and make some! I think Dollightful has made some horns for her doll revamps, she might have a explanation on how to make smaller horns! And thank you! ☺️☺️

    What glue did you use? I tried gorilla glue but it didnt hold worth a DARN.

    • @ForgingSmores
      @ForgingSmores  4 года назад +1

      I use the gorilla glue hot glue sticks! Most people use barge to glue foam, personally not my fave due to the smell but it'll hold!

      How thick is the foam you used?????????

    • @ForgingSmores
      @ForgingSmores  4 года назад

      @@squidvicious944 6mm for the base! I believe I used 4mm for the decorative scale things that I glued on top, although 2mm would work as well for decoration. But generally I do 6mm for the base of horns because it makes for a sturdy structure ☺️
