I swear, I feel like my life is in retrograde. I've been watching episodes of 227, Amen, and Sanford &Son for weeks now lol. So comforting...and funny 😁
@@corrbenbernsten4902 I wished both of them would have found better acting roles than appearing on the worst soap opera in television history. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Love 227. It was on Saturdays because I remember my dad changing a clock for our time change while 227 was on. Don’t know why I would remember that but just something I’d think of often
Loved this series growing up. Marla Gibbs, Jackee, all of them. The quips and witticisms were fantastic. The talent was superb. They flat-out don’t make goodhearted family/community shows like this anymore.
@Cynthia Williams … Absolutely. I grew up with these specific programs. It seems ridiculous to say, maybe, but our kids today being dialed-in to endless attractions on social media, we had three, maybe four, shows that we truly “made time” to view, at any given time in a decade, back in the day. 😄This was one of those magical shows.
@@jonathankieranwriter you're right. Many of our shows presented positive messages. I looked at some of the shows my teen watches...and all I can do is SHAKE MY HEAD! AND PRAY!
2022, and i m watching this first time in my life and its just brilliant, i cant stop laughing. We just put up Christmas Tree and its an amazin chance to spend time watching these beautifully beautiful episodes, thank you SO MUCH🙏👏👏👏👌💎
I really hate today's comedy! My last comedy was modern family. So i go back to everything from the 70s- early 2000. Love this. And the style. Absolutely amazing
I have season 1 on DVD. Used to watch Saturday nights on NBC. They don’t make them like this anymore. Warm and comforting and a likable cast of characters.
One minute rose wants to act like Miss honest and now she's trying to agree with Sandra trying to convince Mary to lie about what happened to the man's car, you can't have it both ways Rose you're either going to be a honest person all the way or a crooked person all the way not be honest only when it's convenient
definitely one of my all time fav episodes of 227. loved season 1 and 2 the most. ken foree shouldve had a recurring role, sucks that he was only in this episode. and props to mr norman lear 101 and still going strong
There is something so comforting about seeing the old shows you grew up with.

Ms. Jackeé had ALL THE FASHIONS! ❤🔥
We need all the 80s sitcoms back!
Regina King's voice is still the same.

227 was the best tv show of all time
No place like home I stay watching my old shows and I love it
A great cast, theme song and tv show!!!
227, Cosby Show, Amen, A Diff'rent World, Family Matters were all on tv together at some point...
All on NBC too

I love old shows, The Jefferson,Good Times A Different World,Amen I watch them all along with the new but nothing beats old shows ..to me
I’ve been binging 227 on Prime I love it in my 40’s the grown folk situations resonates and this show is super hilarious.
21:13 The *SCREAM* from the audience took me *OUT!!!*
Why were they screaming like that 😂
I know lol
They always have someone in the audience screaming, laughing very loud or coughing in any sitcom
I grew up watching these old sitcoms with my Grammy now at the age of 26 I'm obsessed
This TV show is priceless
THIS IS COMFORTING! ON MY LUNCH BREAK AT WORK. LIFE IS GOOD!❤️❤️❤️❤️
They need to bring back all these show back for us ❤that we can keep laughter , when you come home drain and tired , so funny to look forward
Its also on hulu
227 needs a complete series release on DVD, it's a hilarious classic series and its complete DVD release is long overdue.
I have the DVD of the first season.
The series is on Amazon Prime
The first and second season is available on Tubi, and all five seasons are on Hulu
They were the best and still is I enjoy those old shows.

I noticed Mary was less harsh in later seasons.

Sandra is great!
It is one of my favorite TV show I watch all the time over there in my country is trinidad and tobago 🇹🇹🤣🤣🤣🤣
This wasn't the pilot. The pilot is when the landlord dies.
But this was the first episode to air.
Production order not broadcast order.

THEY ARE NATURALLY FUNNY!
Jackee was goddess in her younger years nearing close to 80 still looks good
LMAO...66 isn't 'nearing close to 80'.
The actress was born in 1956 making her about 66 years old now. She still has another 14 years to reach 80. I think she’s good. Lol.
Jackee is OK but bernadette the daughter on good times is more beautiful than jackee!!! And she's a better actress
