@@bigv3192 Nazgul don't send men fleeing in fear by screeching, they are sorcerors, they have a type of a fear aura spell, it's a sudden unexplainable sense of impending doom which sets upon you once you are near them. However their fighting capabilities themselves aren't anything too great. It is said that men whos hearts are not easily taken by fear have nothing to fear from the Nazgūl in a fight.

If memory serves, this theme is an adaptation of the Dies Irae, a prayer in Latin. It does really gives power and trigger fear as well as epic vibes. This is the theme of the Nazgul: when you hear the choir begin an image of the Nine, the fallen kings of Numenor, the Lieutenants of the Dark Lord in all their dread majesty is what springs to mind. Some already discussed about it and I think it was a way to underline that Azog was one of the main Sauron’s general, such as the nazgul. Thus, this song would rather be a « vilain general » theme than the Nazgûl’s one… of course, in my opinion this IS the Nazgûl’s theme but you know, maybe Howard shore just liked this tune and wanted to add a variation in such epic moment xD but I agree with you, Azog and the Nazgûls are clearly not playing at the same level

A D&D final boss that I conceived but never used against the evil PC party was a little bit like this. A hidden child of prophecy who was destined to lead the charge against a cosmic evil that would swallow everything, except he was born late, his home kingdom was in economic ruin and he was nowhere near ready, which meant even though the world was being "saved" by my PCs, they hardly had the best interests of the people at heart. Eventually they would have found this 13 or 14 year old kid who had been spirited away from his own homeland to train like mad in secret, who was the true heir to the kingdom they began their journey in, which was now all but entirely in their clutches. We're talking a fight that would've been three 20+ level evil, seasoned adult warrior despots vs a single 14 year old fighter who was miracously able to claw his way up to around 11th level through sheer effort and the assistance of his 14th level ward/tutor wizard. The fight would've been almost comically one sided, the aged, already dying wizard going down quickly while this scared kid literally fights for his life, emboldened by youth and rage at the death of his mentor. It's not enough. He dies on his knees, bleeding out into the mud, propped up by his own broken sword, still clutching it tight in one hand. And then the ground starts shaking. Then the air. Then the PCs bones. Animals race away, trees wilt or stretch outwards, as if all of nature were suddenly afraid. And then like a spear made of weeping, howling light, a beam punches down from the sky and envelops the kids body. And he gets up. But when he steps out, it's not him; not as a child trying to fill a warriors boots at least. It's a hulking, silver clad creature of muscle and armor, wielding a claymore with a broken pommel. As an act of righteous fury for crimes against fate itself, for slaying the one hope this world had at true salvation, the gods, one and all, raise the child. Or rather, raise him as he should have been. A divine wraith, a ghost of the champion that he was always meant to be: a Neverwere. A creature born from the incomprehensible rage of destiny itself being cheated, given shape by every single deity acting in concert. And now these three, villainous 20+ level shit clowns who have officially pissed off every force of creation there is, have to fight the shadow of a Champion that would've led their world through the peril and into a better future against unfathomable odds. And they have to do it while staring into a dead child's eyes, leering coldly back at them from behind the vizor of a helmet forged from the shattered dreams of a world that will never come to pass.
Just imagine the kings who were una unaware of Sauron's intentions,imagine having your body slowly dying,your mind entering into a torpor and having dreams and visions of Sauron in is most dreadful form looking inside you. If you think about it,some of the ringwraiths are tragic figures
i'm French and i use to have a cool handmade Nazgul cosplay for event like "Japan Touch" at Paris or Lyon I remember wearing it once for my collège carnaval I freaking out every teacher i walk by it was awesome you feel really invicible with this Sadly it was an old cosplay with only painting paper and a lot of glue but i still have the big Jedilike robe

I was 8 when I saw LotR, the Nazgul riding their horses and their screeches traumatized me to the point I would go inside when the sun started going down and the "bad riders" would come out. Living in the countryside with lots of empty roads and alleys didn't help as well.

Howard shore a vraiment quelque chose d'incroyable avec les musiques du seigneur des anneaux ! La musique des personnages maléfique leurs vont parfaitement ! Pour les nazgul, on a une musique de puissance. Pour Isengard, une musique mécanique et militaire. Pour Sauron, une mélodie se basant plutôt sur une forme de véritable terreur. Just a little update. I listened to both songs but unfortunately I'm not really familiar with this way of orchestrating. The Sith are too self-destructive. There is always a unhealthy rivalry between Master and Apprentice. Pain is embraced and sometimes self-inflicted. Their choices are fuelled by anger. The dark side of the force requires constant inner rage.
If I ever make a video on my other channel remaking scenes from LOTR, I’d use this song instead of the other because this was so much better and more intense!!!
We need Sauron theme Virgil music style. Also emperor Palpatine and ... skeletor. Let's not forget Damien theme from omen or those of Jason from Friday the 13 and Michael from Halloween There is also Dracula theme from the Dracula movie and Dracula from Castlevania. Those are my suggestions. Baddies music are the best. They have mood and flavor and are more realistic than goody two shoes that never ever do anything bad.

Typically when Dies Irae plays in the background, it warns that death is coming. The Nazgul are death astride black horses.

I was 8 when I saw LotR, the Nazgul riding their horses and their screeches traumatized me to the point I would go inside when the sun started going down and the "bad riders" would come out. Living in the countryside with lots of empty roads and alleys didn't help as well.

Howard shore a vraiment quelque chose d'incroyable avec les musiques du seigneur des anneaux ! La musique des personnages maléfique leurs vont parfaitement ! Pour les nazgul, on a une musique de puissance. Pour Isengard, une musique mécanique et militaire. Pour Sauron, une mélodie se basant plutôt sur une forme de véritable terreur. Absolument magnifique 🥰

Just a little update. I listened to both songs but unfortunately I'm not really familiar with this way of orchestrating. There are two Villians that are an instant choice for me, the Sith and the Nazgul.
@sy danthay Nazgul are overrated. Could just wear woollen ear plugs, lure them in a trap, use sword breakers, apprehend em, tie em up, then ritualistically slay them with anyone but a human male. Give em something to screech about eh😈
The Sith are too self-destructive. There is always a unhealthy rivalry between Master and Apprentice. Pain is embraced and sometimes self-inflicted. Their choices are fuelled by anger. The dark side of the force requires constant inner rage.
