Think I would put Martin in the backrow , along with C-South at 8 ( yep I would drop Underhill/Roots ) , still not convinced by Chessum ( shame Ribbans isn't available ) and think the front three picks it self unfortunately , ( comes to something when the resources at our disposal only allow us to pick a 36 year old prop to start ) . Now that Mitchell is injured , I'd start Randall , really not happy with the way our backline are performing would love to see either of the Smith's get a chance , hopefully Ojomoh and Lawrence will get the nod , really think we need to be looking to the future . I would have Roebuck and Freeman out wide , I am also worried that Scotland ( Russell ) is intelligent enough not to use the high ball and will attack Steward out wide ( where he will be shown a clean pair of heels ) .
I would not be at all sad to see your back-row selection - I think it would be brave, but could be the future, if not now. In a slight defence of England's backs, they've not had a lot of quality ball. However, they have had a few chances that really should've been taken. Why do you like Randall over Care/Spencer?
@@clayton8944 I hear you. I think Van Poortvliet would likely have been playing if fit. Quirke burst on the scene but has struggled since getting injuries. Randall is super exciting but has never quite managed it at international level.
My view man mark Finn Russell Scotland will be massive favorites i think Borthwick will play care at 9 they won't change their style of play or the team much he might put Manu in it will be the kick tennis game plan Scotland will be out for blood especially after being robbed against France the English pack will have to play better than the French pack did. My heart says England but My head says Scotland 🏉🏉🏴🌹🏴
@@amateurrugbypodcastThey need to give Ben Spencer a good chance at scrum-half. He's in such form for Bath at the moment. Though for some reason, his face doesn't fit. Just look how quickly he was dropped from the RWC training squad last year.
@@amateurrugbypodcast Just comes up a lot in the media. The thumbnail for this video is about englands bomb squad. They've hired south africas defense coach to replicate south africas defense. I just think they're afraid of their own dna at the moment.
I think, like many teams, they are staying aware of what the trends in the game are, then trying to figure out the best way of moving forward with the players they have at their disposal. Let's not forget that England's DNA isn't that dissimilar to SA's in any case. Lastly, are we expecting SA to defend like Quins now?
Always start with your best 15 .
Solid advice!

Actually I'd prefer Quirke , Randall or Van Poortvliet over Care/Spencer , we need to be looking towards the future IMO .@@amateurrugbypodcast

Think that’s pretty much what to expect. But reckon Lawrence goes on the bench for EFW.
Interesting. Who would cover wing?
Ford Daly tuilagi Slade one or two of them but all four is looking backwards
What backline would you pick?

Totally agree with your last sentence. It's very tight though!
The guy from Wham (Mitchell ) is a big loss. Ben Earl coming back to his best is a bonus. Starting Fin smith would show some ambition.but unlikely
Agreed, Mitchell is a loss, but I think it's one of the positions England can cover well.

I've been a fan for a long time @johnbradshaw7525 - Seems Mitchell is out for the tournament, so no reason not to give him a run...
England should have put 40 plus on that Welsh team at Twickenham and managed one try. That was not anywhere near worthy of praise.
England should stop trying to be South Africa and just become comfortable with being England.
Why do you think England are trying to be South Africa?

Actually, one more thing :), the thumbnail to this video was created by me to pique interest. It seems to have worked. :)
