I could be remembering wrong, but the poor visibility of enemies was a made decision to fit in with the artist direction, opposed to highlighting enemies and breaking immersion.
Played some Diablo 2 when I was a kid (couldn't read/understand english back then so it was ehh... hard), played D4 until like lvl88 and couldn't bother going further. PoE2 so far the campaign is *awesome* and mapping is.... well, that needs some work, but I've got a feeling that'll end up being just fine. PoE1 was great according to even my dad (yes, my almost 70 year old dad plays PoE2 as we speak) so I'm thinking they'll get it here too.
No good gear drops. I'm trying to get through the 2nd chapter, but I still have mostly early gear because NOTHING drops. Trying to beat bosses has become a chore that takes 30 minutes of dodging crap. I cant progress because I cant improve my gear. I can progress because I can't beat bosses. None of this is my fault Play the highest level area I can and I am about 10 levels above it but still struggle because of shitty gear. I'm tired of it so I stopped playing.
I give endgame 1/10 - for me I want to enjoy it but it seems you can only really succeed if you read up on builds, gear and talents etc even for Tier 1 end game. great let down for me.
Hard disagree. Most builds are viable early late game, just pick stuff that makes sense. Read no builds for 3 characters, one is at t15s and the others still need some gear but running 6-7-8s just fine
@@MrRhoidRage I understand your comment but this is my point. I do not want to have to spend time researching builds and what gear JUST to do early Tiers. Despite this, I have had to do so and found a build more suitable to my gear and level to complete lower tiers.
@@GabrielVipond this isn’t the game for you. There was no researching involved in “picking what makes sense” Reading does not = research. Just read the skills dude. Read the talents. Pick what makes sense. If you can’t do that then this ain’t the game for you dude
Similar hours , similar level, have never played an arpg b4 other than poe1 (act 1). I agree that some end game maps are shit compared to campaign. Got all those trees blocking players and mobs, Knock off version of hunting grounds (which I really liked in the campaign). Those minions with bombs in Audrey. Me being afraid to use my skills against bosses to be able to see attack signals. Compared to them => Val factory, pulling levers, towers etc are the least of my concerns.
Same here. I think most of the winning people are the people that can't just run and gun fly through it.There's no struggle. There's just want to breeze through and collect and just keep going out over and over. They don't care for strategy or dodging or you know having to figure things out.
Honestly, after you are done with your current character, go and try PoE 1 out. If you thought PoE 2 is a great game, you are in for a surprise. While some aspects don't translate (no WSAD, no Pausing ) overall PoE 2 is currently a worse version of PoE 1.
Glad you're enjoying it brother.
Thanks man!
