That Gilmore REALLY moves!! (agreed - a 22x10 is better for speed). And that your field has wind turbines right next to it kind of implies you guys must be used to flying in the wind!

Very nice planes, did you add any extra weight for the cg?. Cheers.

marino tsalikos no, nothing, I have my 3 lipo’s (2x 2200 2s for receiver and 1x 1800 2s for ignition) right behind the firewall and that did the trick!

Hi Tom, may I ask you where you put your CG? In the newest manual it says 90 mm from the leading edge of the wing and to accomplish that I need to put more than two kilos of dead weight in the front. In the old manual it says 130 mm and that is right on the spot when building it but quite a bit behind the CG in the latest manual. I didn't see any dead weight in your plane but not all is visible of course. So if you know where you put your CG and would like to share that, it would be awesome :)
    Thanks
    Samir

Hi Samir, may take a while before I get her back into the air...
I don't have any dead weight.
I put the ignition and the throttle servo all the way to the front on the motor box.
I have 2x 2200 2s and 1x 1800 2s lipo's in the void on top of the fuselage, just in front of where the canopy is (top of the picture at 1:08), that's the furthest you can get them forward.
Set up like that with the DLE 55 and muffler the CG was exactly right...

Makes you wonder wether the new manual is correct, 4cm is A LOT...

Hi, thanks Tom, this helps me a lot! I have basically the same setup (from a weight point of view) but if going by the new manual I need to add a lot of weight. But now I know your setup so that helps me on the way.
      Thanks again!
      Best regards
      Samir

Yes, I do agree... But does your comment mean that yours was on 130 mm? Or do you not have the manual available anymore maybe.

Samir E. I should check if i still have that manual. You know what I’ll put it together in my backyard and check exactly where I have the cg tonight...
