  • Michael Collins, the third astronaut on the Apollo 11 mission, was the first person to ever see the far side of the moon. Wild rumors still surround what Collins actually saw during his lonely flight around the Earth's satellite. Collins himself has made some remarkable statements about his discoveries, which many believe leave room for speculation. What did Collins really experience during his flight and how did the astronaut deal with this lonely experience after the mission? We shed light on this and reveal all the facts now.

How about Apollo 8. They orbited the moon 10 times. Maybe they were sleeping and didn’t see the back side?

There were 6 other astronauts that saw the far side of the moon before Apollo 11

And John Young (Apollo 10) also saw the far side all by himself when Thomas Stafford and Gene Cernan took the lunar lander out for a test drive. Bad enough that this video provided almost no useful information, it then provided blatantly wrong information.

This is the first time that I have ever heard that Collins was waiting for his crew mates in the "Space Shuttle Columbia". Reference was made to this at around the 3:30 saying the "Space Shuttle" and at 4:03 saying the "Columbia Module" instead of the "Apollo" module areas of this video. Someone here seriously needs to proof these videos, before they are uploaded. It seems that Simply Space has resorted to "Click Bait" as there never was any "eerie secret" revealed in this video!

The module that orbit the moon was called Columbia, the module that landed on the moon was Eagle. Together, they were Apollo 11.
