    Great point about the "development" in the teaching of St Gregory Palamas! Very important to highlight what this actually means!

    It seems like a semantic issue but also a denial of the very apparent fact that orthodox faith and practice is not exactly the same as what the apostles taught. It doesn’t mean there is a contradiction but if you read the Bible and pre nicean fathers you don’t come away thinking that icon veneration and the essence energy distinction are pillars of dogma
