    I am tackling my first diy with a small bathroom in my home. RUclips university is teaching me so well! Lol! I am about to go remove all of mine right NOW! I planned ahead and have a complete list of all that I need and have everything ready. I am even going to replace the toilet! Super excited! I’ll call reinforcements if need be. I CAN DO IT! Thanks for this video! I feel extra inspired now 👍🏾👍🏾

    Mine are glued on to the ceramic tile wall. I’d like to be able to remove them without breaking the ceramic tile. Is that possible? Is there anything to losen up the glue before attempting to take them off?😊

    How do we go about doing this on a tiled wall?

  • @billgannon9111
    @billgannon9111 Год назад +38

    Unfortunately, most of these in older homes are set in tile.

      Exactly! That's my problem I don't think this method will work on tiles? Without breaking the tiles. ?

      Any suggestion on such? This is what we have and in one bathroom the soap rest is broken over sink and inset in wall over tub.

    Good to know thanks! I’m confused about the “ceramics” part of the title though. I thought it was about removing them from ceramic tiles

    Our house is very old and the fixtures are built into the tile. We aren't removing from sheetrock, but rather have old plaster walls with ceramic tiles. In one bathroom the soap rest over sink and in tub are broken and I wish to replace without ruining entire tiled walls.

    Ok but my is on a tile wall. Is it still safe to remove?

    • @finaltouchdrywall
      @finaltouchdrywall  3 года назад +1

      That’s a different story. You have to patch it or there will be a hole in it and can’t patch with drywall because of the tile around it.

    Hi, I don’t want to see how to remove it, I want to see how to fix it on a dry wall with glue. Does a video showing it exist? Thank you.

    I wasn’t so lucky. My towel bars took the wall with it leaving two holes. My TP holder will not budge, I cut all the way around with an oscillating tool, it still won’t move, it’s solid as a rock in there. Smashing it is my next option, but I don’t really want to do that.

    How do you remove them when they are attached to ceramic tile?

    • @finaltouchdrywall
      @finaltouchdrywall  2 года назад +1

      It’s impossible to fix the hole without taking the tile off.

      @@finaltouchdrywall I have the same issue. I just want to remove them from the ceramic wall tile. Can the be grinded off? They look like they were installed on top of the wall tile. soap dish, toothbrush holder, towel holder.
