Oh wow, the author really understood games. A team of 4 all with debuff skills but each persons debuff actually counteracts the other persons debuff completely removing it. The best part is it's not simple debuffs and conditions are unique. Even with a crappy story any RPG gamer would probably enjoy just the concept.
I like this idea of a minus skill; granted the ones in this manga are rather severe, but it's a cool way to balance out OP skills, creating a type of risk/reward system

Of those 4, I think the vanguard has dibs on the item. The thief minus skill can be helpful if utilized correctly. Keep him safe and your group is essentially immune to any debuff. The priest and the mage abilities cancel each other out quite nicely and makes so that the whole group level up evenly and with the mage they even get free buff. The vanguard just can’t get any drops. He’d have to stay with the mage and the priest to be effective at all. If either the mage or the priest uses the item, the other would be left in the dust. All of this wouldn’t matter if they stay together tho, so I think the story will end with neither of them using the item, if the item even exists and does what they think it does.

Interesting concept and maybe they address this later in the story... but Alvan was basically wasting his time to go try to solo the boss for a DROP, when his negative trait specifically reduces how much loot would drop. It's not even just generous for her to let him take the drop first. If he's only able to neutralize his negative trait with her "negative" trait, then that would put him in the same position even if she stuck around and helped him kill the boss again.
Problem is adventuring is a job meaning you need to be able to earn money Also her skill does nullify his skill because his skill reduces the drop rate when he makes a kill but since the priestess' skill makes her take the kill, their party drop rates will remain what they should be and with the Sorceress, he can still increase his levels

1. No one is going to party with him to begin with so the small chance of him getting it is better than the 0% chance of getting it. 2. You can only kill the boss once before the dungeon disappears. But yeah out of the two of them he should be the one to take it assuming its real and one time use.

This is actually a pretty unique story though I wish it took a little more time to introduce the skill removal plot. Like they should have found each other and this should have been a potential party breaker.

I like the premise of look you have too many or too good skills have a minus one to balance it out (kinda how games like project zomboid allows you to get negative skills to get more positives). In other words if you want a party you have to fit the matching puzzle piece together to make it work properly and efficient.
