it's not just skyward thrust but skyward thrust with slope endlag cancel. It's too big brain for a GS main to understand this very complicated tech

nice run, how did to do the front leap attack right after backstep? im also in keyboard
you can start in 2 different ways
1) from neutral like at 0:50, from neutral you can only start with a guard dash forwards. you press left click + guard button to do the guard dash and then right click to do the leaping thrust. Next you just gonna hold any of the WASD direction keys and press left click + guard button to hop back/to a side. Usually S so you can guard dash back. And then press right click again and now you are in the loop.
2) if you did an attack like a poke or wide sweep that doesn't put you in to neutral immediately you can start with a guard dash back by pressing S + left click + guard button. then right click for the leaping attack and repeat b going S + left click + guard button to hop back again ...

the lag cancel works on slopes and ledges. you can test it in the training area
